[24M] I'm genuinely confused about [24F] this, what do you guys think ?

Guys, I’m genuinely confused about this situation 😭

I have a friend I’m really close to, we met online and then we had our first meet. I recently visited her, and we stayed together in a hotel for a night. We also ended up sleeping under the same blanket at her flat during the afternoon. Nothing sexual happened, but we were definitely very physically close.

When I was leaving to go back to my city, we were holding hands, leaning on each other’s shoulders, basically behaving like a couple would. But we’ve never actually defined what this is.

So I asked her directly whether it was a “no” from her side. She said it’s not a no, but she recently went through a really traumatic breakup. She loved someone intensely and he basically ghosted her, and now she says she doesn’t have the emotional energy to give to anyone else. She also went on two dates before but when she opened up in front of them they went away, when I went to her place she also talked about a spiritual fuckboi whom she met online and was attracted to him. These were before meeting her, the dates but the fuckboi part was actually after I went to her flat and we both were sitting, she also showed me her dating profile on tinder where she told me that I've given my account to my friend so he talks with them and all now, I don't do this.

I completely understand that, but I’m also confused about what our closeness means.

And girls, genuine question: is it normal for two friends to stay together in a hotel and sleep under the same blanket without it necessarily meaning anything romantic? 😭

Am I reading too much into this, or is there actually something more here? Need some perspective because I’m completely confused.

What if a girl doesn't says no, but also doesn't say yes ?
