Starting out with TOR 2e – Future line support & recommended campaign path for a new LM?

Hey everyone,

I’m about to jump into running The One Ring 2nd Edition for my group! I’ve already read through the Core Rulebook, and we’re planning to kick things off using the *Starter Set(*Over Hill and Under Hill).

Really loving the vibe and system design so far.
While I enjoy homebrewing, my group and I are big fans of well-crafted, pre-written campaigns and adventure modules. I know there are already a few great supplements out there, but I was wondering about the overall state of the game:

  1. How active is the ongoing development for TOR 2e? Are Free League still actively planning and producing new campaign/adventure books for the line?

  2. What’s on the horizon? Has there been any news or speculation on upcoming regional modules or campaign books?

  3. Where should we go after the Starter Set? For a new Loremaster and group, which published book or campaign module would you recommend picking up first to follow up on the starter set?

Would love to hear your recommendations and experiences! Thanks in advance!

Can you recommend Iconoclasts?

Hey all,

My group and I have played through Impossible Landscapes and we’re currently about halfway through God’s Teeth. Once we wrap that up, instead of stringing together a bunch of shorter scenarios, I’d like to run something “longer” again, and from what I’ve read, Iconoclasts sounds like it could fit that bill.

For context on what’s worked for us: in Impossible Landscapes, the group loved how everything is constantly trying to deceive/mess with them and how complex and layered the whole thing is. In God’s Teeth, they’ve been enjoying the fact that there’s a lot more straightforward fighting/action.

Given that, what would you recommend? Is Iconoclasts worth it for a group with that taste? Has anyone here already run or played through it, what’s your take on it?

Thanks in advance!

Some progression pics

Hi folks!

Here are some of my first minis( first pic) that I have painted 8 months ago, and my latest mini (2nd pic) that I have painted yesterday.
Inbetween the two 8 months have passed, and I painted 1000 point worth of DA.
Im interested in your opinion, how can I improve further(Im assuming that I have gotten better at painting between the two pics lol), and what are your thoughts on these minis?

I really enjoy painting, It became one of my favourite hobbies since starting, and I believe actually playing will be on par with that :D

Anyways, as always thank you for your input in advance!

Anyone expanded the "Moscow on the Chesapeake" snippet in God's Teeth?

Hey everyone,
I'm currently reading God's Teeth, and planning to run it in a few weeks,
My question would be about the sidebar "Dealing With It Themselves" regarding the Skoptsi cult raid on July 9, 2006.
The text mentions that a full campaign against them is beyond the scope of the book.
My players are the type who might absolutely try to play this out or pursue Kalamatiano’s notes directly. Since the book leaves a full operation up to the Handler to build using Countdown or The Millennium, I want to homebrew a mini-arc or a detailed operation around this raid.
Has anyone here actually expanded on this specific snippet or run a homebrew operation against the Skoptsi community?

Any notes, session write-ups, or ideas you'd be willing to share for inspiration would be massively appreciated!

Edit: had to reupload the post from my main account
