I was growing a baby up in HH (I just spawned in), and then I was jumped by a megapack of like 2 concs and about 3 rexes and some others I was too panicked to see. I like questing here because it's usually empty. Of course they killed me because I was way too slow. I was just curious, what exactly these people see as fun in things like this? I know it's probably the reactions, but like, killing a solo and especially a baby has 0 satisfaction, and people like me don't speak in chat. Are they kids getting together to band up and just kill everything they see? How does that work? Are they genuinely like a group of 10 12 year old friends that just want to ruin everyone else's fun? Or is there a chance these are some deranged adults lol
I will say that I typically don't actually run into megapacks somehow (the game feels more empty to me usually) but when I do, it's always crazy just how pointless it is, and of course it happens every single time I'm a baby. Do you get trophies from babies too or am I missing something?
Hello! I have a quick question.
I have a 120 PVC enclosure and right now I'm using a DHP as a primary heat source and a CHE as ambient (it can get cold here). I was thinking of switching to a halogen though, but I'm not sure what wattage to use? I think the plug I have can only handle 70 watts, but I know that a halogen should be used at max power if possible. My snake's basking shelf would be about 8 or so inches from it? I'm assuming 70 would be too much?
I also have a herpstat 2. Would I be able to dim a halogen with this, or use it as a sort of control so that his spot would never get too hot? I'm a tiny bit confused so any help would be appreciated.
Also, I tried a halogen way long ago but all it did was flicker. Is there something I can do to fix this, or was my probe just not place correctly? Thanks for any answers!
I have a Tarahumara male, and he's 3.2 ft at 2 years (turned 2 in June), and I made sure this measurement is exact by letting him slide along a wall lol. I feed him weaned rats, and plan on moving to every 3 weeks soon. Atm he's eating every 2 weeks. From what I can tell, his body is very muscular and square. I don't feel any fat at all when rubbing his sides.
Is this a good size for his age? Is he too large? I was under the impression they stayed not much bigger than this but it seems odd that he would stop growing now, as it feels like he still is. Sometimes I see normal boas around his size at his age and I really don't want to overfeed him. Also his body is crazy tall they weren't kidding about boas being trapezoid shaped lol.
Any input is appreciated!
Hello all! I was wondering if anyone knows of any short-tail boa breeders, specifically the silverback line? I love their colors and I've been interested for quite some time. I'm debating on another boa so I'm trying to get informed. If anyone could link pictures of theirs or let me know of their temperament/size, I would love that too. I'm 5'9" and kinda fat so I don't think I'll have any trouble handling it, but my biggest concern is giving them enough enclosure space. I'm hoping for a male also, to bank on something smaller.
I'm actually mad because there was one recently on morph market recently I liked a lot and it sold immediately lmao, so please let me know if there are any other places, or when to expect litters. Thank you!
Hello! I'm looking into getting another boa. The longicauda has had my attention for a long time now, but I have no idea where to get one, or when I should start looking. I was under the assumption that MM would have an influx maybe soon considering boas are being born right around this time (I could be wrong lol) but I also wanted to know if anyone knows good breeders? I really love the really dark with gold saddles looking ones. I'm not too familiar with different bloodlines, so I'd also appreciate information on them if possible. Thank you!
So I'm in act 3 of Silksong, and I'm at the part where you fight the Green Prince. I am completely torn on this fight. I know this has become a bit of a meme, so I seriously don't feel like posting this in any other reddit because I'd like an actual discussion lol.
Basically, I'm torn between just leaving him and fighting him for both completion and 'mercy', but I'm struggling with how to interpret it all. Despite being a completionist I will absolutely miss out on things if I feel like they work better the other way.
On one hand, fighting him seems like the better option because it feels like his grief is keeping both him and Verdania from moving on (as shown by the clovers at his and his husband's corpse after you beat them), but on the other, it still feels a little random? Like just one change in the dialogue would've helped me see that ok, he wanted to go out fighting remembering his lands and lover as they were. But as it is, it feels a bit like we're just intruding despite his wishes and tearing out his heart unnecessarily, especially since we've already got the others. My interpretation was that he felt too proud to truly say he wanted a fight to the death so he took it upon himself by attacking us in his memories (because at every other point within his memories, when we talk to him, he's fine), but idk. The clovers regrowing make it seem like Team Cherry wanted us to interpret this as him being reunited with his lover, and Verdania therefore blooming again.
If you leave him, of course NOT killing him initially feels better... but then I just feel guilty about letting him just stand there to essentially rot.
Making him a requirement for the main quest would've probably solved most issues. Like just make the requirement 4 hearts, not 3.
Basically, how does everyone else feel? Is it a mercy? Did you leave him? I'd love to hear everyone's opinions!
So my rat order just came, and they are HUGE this time. 😭Usually I'm used to them giving me rats more on the smaller end, but this time the batch even crosses over into medium rats with like 2 of them. I guess my question is, can my boa reasonably eat at least some of them? He's 460 grams and the rats are supposed to range from 46-84 grams small rats (I was going to feed off the smallest first of course cause weaned have been too small) but most cross over 60. The smallest are around 54... Did I waste money? I'm guessing they'll mostly be going to waste now as out of like 25 I can only see him eating maybe 4 of them at the moment. Should I just go to the store and get singular ones until he can eat them? I just don't want them to go to waste or sit in the freezer for ages. Thanks for any input.
My boa is at the point where he can upgrade. Is there better nutritional value in simply going up in size in mice or should I switch to weaned rats? I hear that the more mature item is better, but I'm seeing that I should switch to weaned. Advice appreciated.
I just wanted to know the actual size and to see a comparison! I'm just curious how much snake that would be (dwarf and sub adult boa i guess?) And was hoping someone could help me out with pics. Lots online seem way bigger or smaller than that. Thanks!
I want to get better at the game, at least so I can kind of hold my own. I'm just not really good at this game's controls and the dino limitations (can't just overcome a big pack with skill alone it's like impossible). But I would at least like to learn to not panic. I go onto death match servers, but is that the only way? I get jumped and can't really find a good 1v1 because people there always interrupt (one person literally t-bagged me after killing my dino with their pack while I was idle lol). I'd like to find someplace respectful and as fair as possible but I'm not sure where to go, and I'm not liking the community too much. Seems very rare I meet fair/nice people. Should I just grow my dino and attack whatever I see for practice (I mostly play styraco)? I feel a lil toxic but idk how else to get better.
So I love open world RPGs and fantasy, especially if it's dark. However, based on the FromSoft community (I've played Sekiro and I think it was DS3) looking at Elden Ring media has been a little hit or miss, but I get that it's mostly the men saying dumb stuff and being misogynistic to characters in the game. Like I cannot seem to escape loli art of the blue witch character (I forgot her name) and it puts a sour taste in my mouth even if it isn't technically the character's fault. It feels very much like 'men's club' bs. I know that FromSoft is usually good with female characters though, but with the inclusion of RR Martin in the story (sorry I never liked him idk if that's a hot take lol) I was wondering if this is a game I can play without worry? I hate having fun and the sexism slaps me in the face.
I will say that I don't mind the difficulty as I've played hard games and love them, I've also tried Elden Ring on my friend's account for a few hours and liked it. I just want to know if story wise there would be anything bothersome. Might be a bit sensitive of me, but I'd appreciate it. I just tire of giving my money to things that don't respect me. Thank you!
So this is something that I've been noticing on like every single video about Fable, whether spoken about or in the comments section. Men are being insanely sensitive about the mc (male specifically) walking animation and it's both hilarious and very sad.
Basically the male mc walks with a more feminine swagger (this seems to be optional, as I swore I saw the male mc with a different walk cycle in another vid) but they are so angry, being both homophobic and misogynistic about it, and screaming that it better be changed.
Like... women have dealt with the 'reskin of a guy' for so fucking long, and the first time a game does it vice versa, they lose their minds. Does anyone else feel like we live in a dystopia? Like how weak are men? No wonder every game caters to them if they end up crying like babies about dumb shit like this.
Sorry if this seems random! Felt the need to point it out and see if maybe I'm the only one noticing.
Hi all. So I've always been using reptichip, but I kind of like the idea of reptisoil more. I just haven't used it at all because I can imagine it getting dusty the second the soil isn't moist immediately, and dirt getting stuck in his nose. What does everyone else think/use? I wanted to kind of redo my snakes tank from using plastic decor to cork bark and real wood, and dirt just looks and feels better imo since I wanted to go for a bioactive look without actually making it bioactive. I can also imagine that finding poop would be much easier. Any advice appreciated, thanks!
Hello! I usually don't like posting on subs like this cause many are extreme lol, but basically I've done keto before with moderate workout, and I felt amazing. A little weak, but I lost weight like crazy and had 0 health problems. I even still ate stuff like the keto replacement things.
Now, for about 4 or so years, I've been eating like crap and not really doing anything physically after a tragedy and it's def showing. I have NAFLD and I'm just... not fit in general and fat. My blood work is also kinda shitty. I do know though that certain vegetables and stuff still bloat me, and I'm trying to make food as easy as possible, and just eating meat sounds like such an easy trip to the grocery store lol. I also have a super good doctor who is all for clean eating and telling me to cut sugar and carbs, but he still suggested some vegetables and (weirdly enough) fruit.
The only thing is, it's hard to see red meat and eating nothing but meat as totally safe even if I did do keto as I still had veg. I guess I'm worried about screwing myself up further, and then there's the fear of stuff like colon cancer from people who just think that no fiber or plants is stupid. I'm looking for a bit of reassurance and maybe how people who are consistent on this diet are feeling. Pasta is my kryptonite so it'll be tough but I have to change. I'm pretty sure I've developed some kind of eating disorder at this point cause I feel like anything I eat will kill me lol. Not to mention, I can see myself getting a little averse to eating mostly meat every day (I'd probably focus on chicken as it is much cheaper).
Thank you for any advice!
Are there like, any games at all that have anime-ish graphics kinda like those gacha games/Infinity Nikki (but please with more adult looking characters) where you can create your character and it's mostly for the female gaze? I'm talking like Love and Deepspace men and cool customization in an open world? I feel stupid just asking this cause I know my answer but maybe I'll be surprised lol. I've been craving something like this for years but it just isn't happening. I guess I wanted to check and see because I saw a recent game that's upcoming called Silent Whispers, but I don't touch gacha and a lot of Asian games can be weirdly homophobic and misogynist even when they focus on women, so the missed opportunity made me sad. ): Thank you!
Hi everyone! I have a dwarf boa and he'll probably get to like 4 ft at his adult size. He's only about two years old right now, but I was wondering if in the future, a 6x2x4 or something about that size would be ok for him? Right now he's in a 4x2x2, but I want my enclosure to be longer than the snake by a chunk. I also wanted to give some height since the 6x2x2 always look so long but weirdly low/skinny. Would that be overkill for him or should I eventually go for it? Of course I'd have to see about heating it first and all, depending on where I end up.
Also, I'd love some good enclosure brand suggestions. I'm actually not sure if those sizes are 'make it yourself' territory because I am not skilled enough for that lol. Please drop both American and European brands, as I may actually return to Europe in the future. Thanks!
