I is a real diamond…sorta 😂

Found this a couple weeks ago at a coinstar, saw the 14k setting and backing, and was hoping it was maybe a real diamond

Lab grown, but a nice 1 carat lab grown, so there’s that! At least it’s not glass or CZ or something else.

Found a serial number on it from IGI when I was taking a closer look with my jewelers loupe

I guess it’s still technically worth something as a lab grown, just not too much

This says 14K, right? 😂

One of the things I found on Sunday…just got around to looking under the digital scope. Could still be fake, but I feel pretty good about it.

I think it’s time for me to finally get a gold acid test kit 🤷

Even a little free silver excites me!

4 silver dimes and a little 925 marked curb chain. Also a teeny tiny necklace marked 14k that could be white gold. Even a small find like this is exciting to me…especially for free!

Silver and spendables

4 silver dimes and a near chimney find of $23.92! It was barely backed up into the chute. A great find indeed!

Happy hunting everyone!

Found some treasure today

4 silver dimes, including a couple Mercs! My favorite!

The necklace marked 14k weighs 1 gram, the 925 marked curb chain weighs 6.6ish grams, and the “L” pendant is marked 14k I THINK, and weighs 0.77 grams. It’s hard to read the hallmark on the inside of the bale.

All found at coinstar machines. Also found $23 in spendable change in the reject slot.

So this happened…

Had a nice day at the ‘stars. 4 silver dimes, a teensy tiny 1g 14k white gold necklace (probably), a 6ish gram 925 curb chain (probably), $23.92 in a neat chimney find, and a BUNCH of junk jewelry

And not shown, a 0.77g pendant marked 14k I think. It’s hard to tell, I’ll have to take it to my metals guy or maybe a gold buyer.

Nice day of free treasures for sure 👍🏻

Father’s Day treasure find

Did some Sunday rounds at the coinstars, hitting a few machines I don’t hit very often. Results were great!

A silver 63’ Rosie, an earring marked 14k on the post AND the backing weighing it at 0.77 grams, a little 925 marked lock charm that opens with a spring in it, a tiny 925 marked stud earring, and an awesome Pandora charm of a firefly marked 925 as well.

All in all, a nice Sunday treasure hunt!

Some more gold from the coinstar

A little 10k pendant also marked CZ for cubic zirconia, a tiny gold stud marked 14k on the post, a bunch of costume jewelry for the pile, and $2.04 to spend.

This makes it two weeks in a row finding gold at the coinstar. Wish this luck would stick around 😂

The things you find under a coinstar machine…

A little gold pendant marked 10k with cubic zirconia, a gold stud marked 14k, and $2.04 in spendables

Happy hunting everyone!

Silver quarter today

Been a while since I found a silver quarter, so I’m stoked about that. Also found another silver earring, and a few spendables and other odds and ends.

Happy hunting everyone!

More goodies today

A silver quarter, another silver earring, and a tiny bit of spendables. Been a while since I found a silver quarter, glad to break that dry spell

Some good finds today, gold and silver

Hit some coinstars and did pretty well. A 1.6g 14k earring marked both on the back and the post. It sure looks legit, but I’d have to have it tested to be sure. I think it’s made by a company called OroAmerica. Another little piece of something that might be gold (it’s marked 14k on the bale at least)

Three silver earrings, two of which are a matching gold plated set. A silver rosie. And some junk jewelry…the broken bracelet looks silver but isn’t marked anywhere. The earrings in the picture with the broken bracelet are junk for sure.

Oh, and a few spendable coins. All in all, not a bad day.

Gold and silver

Had the time to hit a couple machines today. One had a silver dime underneath it, and another had a gold earring.

Earring marked in two spots. One on the back of the heart, and the other on the post.

I think the “OR” inside the heart is the hallmark of OroAmerica, one of the biggest gold jewelry producers in the United States.

1.6g of 14k gold, making this is the second best piece of gold I’ve found at a coinstar.

Also found a few spendables

Happy hunting everyone!

Been a while since I had a big day like this

Went on a mini vacation last weekend, this was the result of Saturday searching on my way to the hotel

$25.25 in spendables, some odds and ends, and a neat ordinary penny someone put into a bezel. Maybe a birthday date or other special date for them.

Happy hunting everyone!

Neat little find

Went for a little mini vacation last weekend, and I love checking coinstars along the way. Found a neat little ordinary penny someone put into a bezel. Thought that was cool.

Also found $25.25 in spendable change, and a bunch of foreigns and damaged coins.

Also, we don’t really gamble but we slipped $10 into a slot machine that was $0.30 per spin…ended up getting 300 free spins , and actually retriggered 167 MORE free spins during the bonus, for a total of 467 free spins. We sat there for over an hour waiting for the machine to stop spinning 😂 Ended up winning over $300 on a $0.30 spin

Found some history today

This was in the little free book library across the street today… a pewter half pint tankard.

Thanks to r/hallmarks , i have been told that it dates back to the reign of king George IV, who died in 1830. It was likely tested for capacity and marked in the 1800s. It was then re-tested for capacity during the reign of both queen Victoria, and king Edward.

Thanks Reddit! Pretty cool stuff

Pewter 1/2 pint Cup? Hallmark ID?

This was left in a lending library across the street. Looks to be an old pewter cup, anyone know the hallmarks?

Couple silver rosies, $8.90 in spendables, some odds and ends, and some damaged coins for the damaged pile. Most importantly, two CR2032 batteries!
