Hallo, ich bin mit meinem 4 jährigen Wolfsspitz Lupa umgezogen.
Erst haben wir mit der Familie in einem Einfamilienhaus mit Garten im Dorf gewohnt.
Dann für sechs Monate in einer Wohngruppe in der Stadt.
Vor drei Wochen sind wir in einen Wohnblock in ein Dorf gezogen.

Lupa ist schnell verunsichert aber sehr lieb. Wir konnten problemlos problemlos durch Menschenmengen gehen, auch wenn ihr das gar nicht gefallen hat.

In der Wohngruppe waren auch Menschen mit Behinderungen die sich auch mal anders Bewegt haben und beim Streicheln auch mal etwas ungeschickt waren.
Fahrräder, Fußgänger mit und ohne Hund auch kein Problem.
Sie bellt nur ab und zu ganz leise. Ist eine Art leises „Wuffen“.

Aber seit wir umgezogen sind, bellt sie alles an was sich bewegt. Mittlerweile auch laut.
In der Wohnung ist sie ruhig und frisst und schläft auch gut.

Manchmal knurrt sie wenn jemand laut durchs Treppenhaus geht, aber wenn ich „ist gut“ sage hört sie auf.

Aber wenn uns jemand im Treppenhaus begegnet wird geknurrt und gebellt. Und draußen werden auch Fußgänger, Radfahrer und Hunde angebellt und angeknurrt, auch wenn sie etwas weiter weg sind.

Und es wird eher schlimmer als besser.

Mein Nachbar mag keine Hunde und hat verständlicherweise Angst wenn sie bellt und knurrt.

Es ist ein eher hohes Knurren ohne Zähne zu zeigen oder auf ihn zu zu gehen.

Ich will aber nicht dass meine Nachbarn Angst haben durchs Treppenhaus zu gehen.

Hat jemand Tipps für mich?

I got the Teal one (the others are almost 90 bucks) and gave Lupa a good brushing session. It’s really noticeable that undercoat is missing when I pet her now. And her fur is so shiny.

This is my Wolfsspitz/Kees Lupa.

She is from the Wolfsspitz line which is a bit bigger with slightly shorter fur.

She is sadly very anxious. Pretty much from birth. She was playful with her parents but as soon as someone or something new came up she went into hiding.

She was the „special offer left over pup“.

She belongs to the German Spitz family and they are usually more on the braver side.

I tried to desensitize her and introducing her to new thing but she stays anxious.

She is never aggressive, she just cowers and waits until it’s over. At the vet for example.
She just needs time to warm up to people. Then she is happy to meet them.

Otherwise she is the most gentle and loving dog I ever had and i deeply love her.

Hey, these brushes are very expensive and I saw similar ones for 35€.
Has someone used a cheap brush and later a CC brush?

Iam currently a bit tight on money but I don’t waste my money on a cheaper one if they are really worse than a CC brush.

I have arthritis and really need a decent brush that removes the fluff easily.

How are your Kees handling the summer?

I try to remove as much undercoat as possible and rinse her from time to time down when she spends time in the garden. She then mostly lies down in the shadow and watches the neighbors.
We walk only in the morning and late in the evening.

In Germany we expect a hot summer with heat waves way over 30°C

Please don’t tell my grandma that I let Lupa sit on the couch when she isn’t home 😅

Hey, I had a very old short rake like brush but it’s finally breaking apart… and it was only meh anyways.

I also have an undercoat rake that i use with detangler spray on longer grooming sessions.

Can you recommend me a brush for the quick grooming sessions?
