Finally got rejected from UNC… after I started another program.

I was 3/3 including number 1 Indiana, which is what I chose. I already had orientation at Indiana and finally got my rejection from UNC.

I don’t care obviously at this point, but I can’t help but think I would have gotten into UNC if my application had gone in sooner and I wasn’t already enrolled in another program publicly (its already on my linked in)

Does anyone know if being in another program on linked in would affect admission elsewhere?

Curious for opinions

My husband and I have been TTC. I am a cancer survivor so while it hasn’t been a year, I am starting fertility testing because my timeline is a little different than most.

That said, I am blessed that everything is looking good so far! I have a solid ovarian reserve , HSG came back perfect. But due to concerns about me being a genetic carrier for some medical issues, we are still leaning IVF even if we “can” conceive naturally.

To us, It seems almost… irresponsible to conceive naturally knowing we’re rolling the dice with the health of a potential child. Not only that, but if I had a recurrence I don’t want to need to wait to TTC again, I’d rather have eggs/embryos ready to go.

Is this wrong? What are your thoughts on this?

Should I tell my cousin their kid said this?

I was with family this weekend with my husband and when we got in the car my husband was asking what the financial status of my one cousin was due to my cousins child making the following comment.

Background:
Cousin 1’s child: sally (11)
Cousin 2’s child: Monica (13)
Cousin 3 (deceased)’s child: nick (3)
(These 3 kids are all first cousins)

The 3 kids were playing with blocks together and nick was destroying what sally and Monica were building and they were annoyed. Normal child behavior. Monica’s dad comes up and says “you know he’s a child right and you’re teenagers”.

Per my husband, sally then makes a comment under her breath along the lines of “maybe you should stop giving money to the family”. I didn’t hear it. Don’t know where it came from or why all I know is my husband heard it and was shocked it came out of an 11 year olds mouth.

It’s very possible Monica’s dad is giving money to nicks parent due to the loss of the other parent. It’s also very possible that Sally’s parents have vented about this in front of sally because sally has a sibling who has made comments similar in the post about other things. Regardless, a 11 year old shouldn’t be this up on it or making comments about it especially in front of Monica or nick.

Should I mention it to Sally’s mom to maybe limit what’s said around sally or just steer clear of it?

Working for a NJ office but living in VA

I’m confused about taxes and how much should be withheld.
I work in NJ, but my job is mostly remote and I live in VA (my husband is in the military). I travel to NJ when I need to, so some days are in NJ and I have a NJ address as it’s where I’m from.
Taxes are currently being taken from NJ.
What else should I be doing to make sure I don’t have a $20k tax bill 🫣

Hi all! I applied for online MBA programs, not really expecting to get in but I did and now I’m at a crossroads.

I got into Indiana Kelley with a $25k scholarship, SMU $5k scholarship and $5k to Villanova. I’m still waiting on UNC.

Any other lawyers have insight on gaining an MBA as a practicing attorney? Did you struggle with the stat/math classes? How can I make sure I don’t fall behind

In 2019 I was married for a short period of time to my ex. Fast forward to 2024, I got remarried to my now husband. I’ve been enrolled in deers since with zero issues getting on post.

We just PCSed and I got flagged coming on post at our new place because the system is the one that the Air Force uses and I never returned the ID I still have it. I didn’t give it to my ex bc his new gf looked freakishly similar to me and at the time I was worried she would use it to pretend to be me.

Yes, I should have just returned it to another installation but there was none near me at the time and who knows, maybe that would have made things worse at this point.

Today the new installation told me to call the old Air Force installation, but I can’t get through. I’ve called no less than 15 times.

How else do I fix this?
