My dad is an abhorrent SOB in his 80s. My mom is in her late 70s. They have been married over 50 years. My mom has been very judicious with her finances, had a stable career with retirement medical insurance, a pension, retirement, and retired late so earns full social security. My dad did not do any of that and continues to have to work so he has money for things. I'll get to things later.

My mom is an immigrant and is not a citizen but maintains a valid green card. She pays the mortgage and almost all utilities. She pays her car payment and usually any major house repairs. My dad will buy groceries occasionally. He often spends his money on prostitutes and weed.

He often threatens to divorce my mother so they have to sell the house so he can have some money. He regularly tells anyone she is trying to poison him. He suggested he would call to have her deported in the past.

Recently, a woman found info about him breaking about cheating, prostitutes, and inviting likely bots to visit him in various places. He isn't private about it at all. I'm worried he is going crazy or something and I need to figure out how to support my mom because she's going through some medical issues and can't afford to lose everything.

I just got a notice that Google Fiber is coming to Leander. I hope it comes to my neighborhood. I only have one, really expensive option currently for gig speeds.

I have never posted before, but I have to vent a little. Both my husband and daughter gave me gifts that were sweet. Totally useless gifts though. A keychain for keys I do not use, a small fake stained glass tree but no real place to hang it. Well let me clean the windows and I can make a place.

Then let's get breakfast. I don't eat a lot. So I said I don't need much and it's mother's day so it's going to be hard. Oh no it's early so we'll beat the church rush. Yeah no. We went to one place and they are only doing reservations. And now husband now never wants to go to that restaurant again. He immediately drove home all pissed until I made him go to this cafe I knew had good coffee that I wanted.

I spent all day yesterday helping him with a cooking event and I'm sore. I also have been taking care of him following a recent BPE surgery. I am just really frustrated that he didn't put any effort into anything. It's really unlike him. Not really expecting much from the teenager but we've been together 20 years now. Am I just being oversensitive?
