New flower species found!

After going deeper into the jungles of the Netherlands, I came across this bloodthirsty new flower. I couldn’t really make out the sounds it was making, but I’m pretty sure it said “brains.”

Anyway, I tried to make a photorealistic painting of it, and I think it came pretty close to the real thing.

I love zombies, so this was a great find.

It’s finished, varnished, and now available!

I encountered this happy fellow on my second day of studying flowers in the dense jungles of the Netherlands.

This one wasn't shy at all and grinds teeth while smiling, which he does nonstop. Hard to describe the exact sound but I still hear it my dreams/nightmares...

Anyway he was happy to pose for me so I could make a photorealistic painting.

After a 10-year break, I finally started painting again. I just finished a few new pieces. I took a break because I went all-in on digital art, but it feels great to be painting again. I'm really happy with how this one turned out.

I have been hiding in bushes the get a glimpse of some of their expressions. This is the first hyper realistic painting I have done of them. If you look up close you can see it's not a photo but a painting of a flower.

I have been working with digital media for the last 10 years. All this time I had this urge to create something traditional again (worked with pencils for many years). Finally got myself some acrylic markers and started to practice.

It's weird because I try to undo all the time so that's a challenge. Can't wait to finish some paintings and show them.
