This was a blurro originally. Added silver ceramic Yacht-Master style bezel, double dome crystal with blue AR tint and Mercedes hands with a yellow second hand. It reminds me of my time in the Navy where I would be out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean and all I could see was Blue Horizon and the yellow is kind of like the sun coming up and also New beginnings. Everyday is like Blue Horizon.
This is a blue dial Pepsi with double dome AR and jubilee bracelet.
I feel the screen is a little cleaner and always love the Pepsi look.
My first Duro mod was getting a Pepsi and swapping movements with a Blurro so I'd have a blue dial Pepsi. Which I ended up putting on a jubilee bracelet. What was leftover was a blue bezel and black dial. I ended up adding a ceramic blue bezel and a double Dome with AR blue crystal. I recently put this parachute strap on it. It's dark navy blue with a thin white stripe. Which I think really ties the whole watch together. This might be the end game for this watch.
It's been syncing around 12-1am every night. It's also nice to hit a button and the light stays on for 3 seconds.
Will probably be my July 4th pick.
I always think of bicycles like value friendly watches, the kind I've been gravitating towards. You got to swap the seat on the bike and you got to swap the strap on the watch. I'm not saying the stock strap is crap but I have a huge ecosystem of straps that work better than the stock one. I'm a strap swapper. I don't have a wife to swap so this is the next best thing.

I usually stick to black or blue rubber straps on this one but I'm pretty happy with this combo. The strap is super comfortable!
Found this on Walmarts webpage on clearance for $24.50. I ordered the pickup feature since I was going to be out and about. Then I got a message the item is no longer available. So I did pick up at another store. Again got a message it wasn't available. Finally I stopped into Walmart and found the watch but it was scanning at $56. I brought it to the customer service desk and they were able to make the change for me so I picked up this very nice watch for a great price.

Took my Duro in a different direction and ended up with what I’m calling the Bizarro Batman.
It’s got the inverted black/blue bezel and the Bluro sunburst dial, which absolutely lights up when the sun hits it.The fitted strap snaps right up to the case and gives it that integrated look I’ve been chasing.
Picked up this cheap oyster on Amazon. Says it's made for the Duro. Not in the same league as a Long Island bracelet but with an Amazon gift card from Zyn points it was a great deal.
Maybe this will be my glove box watch. If there's an emergency I need to watch there. It is right in my glove box.
I had a gift card for $50 from Amazon so I bought a jubilee bracelet for my other Blue Horizon Duro and a rubber blue fitted strap for my blurro Batman then I saw this watch for $10 and I said what the hell. I was able to swap out an original Duro bezel onto the watch because the bezel looked horrible. The strap was crap of course. I put it on a cheap black NATO. The dial is blue but not that sunburst blue that the blurro has. The bezel is loose, you can tap on it and you hear "I'm cheap" 😂. This will definitely never take the place of a real Duro even with my bezel upgrade. I might keep this in my glove box as a spare watch because I have so a few other nicer real Duros. I don't see this getting into my rotation but again for the price I couldn't resist.
Anyways, it's the watch of the day. I moved the bezel so it's more accurate to the look. I got it on this. Very comfortable parachute/ MN strap. That's navy blue with a thin red line.
If you know me, I like to swap straps. The younger version of me had trouble with bracelets. They were tearing out my wrist hair and making my wrist itchy and I'd end up taking it off so I became a strap guy. But I figured I would give bracelets one more try. And I put a fitted jubilee on my Pepsi that is very comfortable. And now I've put this engineer bracelet that has a quick release so I can wear it on my other Duros. You either have the choice of it lining up directly into the case or having the quick release and being able to quickly make swapping easy. I only knew about oyster and jubilee bracelets and then discovered this engineer bracelet. That's awesome for the Duro. The Duro is a big watch, it's a presence, and this bracelet matches it. I was at one point where I wanted to swap straps everyday for every watch but that became overwhelming when you've built up a collection of over 20. Now I'm looking at permanent strap or bracelet combinations. I've got my replica Coke GMT on a jubilee And my Pepsi Duro on a fitted jubilee and I think those are my endgame bracelets for those particular watches. I'm considering an oyster bracelet from Long Island watches to complete my Blue Horizon, that's the one that has the the silver Yacht-Master style bezel with the bluro dial and Mercedes hands with yellow second hand. All my mods. I add the double Dome blue AR tint to. I think that's the biggest upgrade you can give to a Duro. But of course you need to get a ceramic bezel and maybe some new hands but I've only put new hands on my Blue Horizon. I think the Duro hands are fine And not worth an upgrade unless you want specialized hands like the Mercedes or Tudor, Snowflake etc. My Blue Horizon mod was the first one I added aftermarket hands to and they look good in the daylight but they don't have any kind of lume to them. The next set of hands I'll be buying will be for my replica Yacht-Master which has a silver background with white hands that I can't see anymore. It's a great replica that I bought 20 years ago but my eyesight is changed and when I wear it now I can hardly see what time it is. So my watchmaker said just get some replacement hands and we'll be good to go. I've included a few pictures of my other mods so you can see the difference.
I had a blurro and added a ceramic batman bezel and a double dome AR blue crystal. My first strap is the blue tropic. Fits my Florida Lifestyle and matches up great with the dial and half of the bezel.
