My mom keeps taking monthly shortcuts on dealing with her concrete floor. How can I do a 2 year job?

She initially just painted the concrete floor. The paint bubbled in some areas and it got dirty in some areas. So she put more concrete/patio paint on top. This is for her art studio. It’s going to see some light traffic and a lot of paint dropped on it.

Is there any task I can do in a weekend to try to fix it up for her? I have a truck and can rent a sander. My budget is $500 for a thousand square feet. I’ve looked into epoxy but I don’t know if that’s a good idea to put on top of the paint. I can sand it down a bit if necessary. Alternatively I don’t know if there is some kind of polyurethane type seal that I can throw down on top of the concrete to make the paint stop flaking. Any tips?

This morning I woke up and decided I won’t do this anymore. Anybody else go back to school after law?

Currently work in Seattle for an AmLaw 100 firm in an area that deals with high volume. I only have two clients, but have 40 of their cases. There are 10 more attorneys on this team. I love everybody on my team and my boss but we’re all so overworked that it’s impossible to do my job because I always need something from someone else who needs something from someone else. Meeting deadlines becomes outside of my control. Due to stress of deadlines and moron plaintiff’s counsel, I haven’t had my appetite in a week and I’ve lost 5lb. I haven’t been able to fall asleep for more than 5 hours before waking up due to sweats, panic, and (TMI) >!an accident.!<

This morning I decided I don’t want to do this anymore. The stress isn’t worth it. It’s not the firm, it’s not the field, it’s that I’m unhappy with the career. I briefly majored in agriculture (horticulture) at UMass before switching to poli sci and going to law school. Never got the degree and don’t remember much from ag.

I have 6 months of expenses in my savings and 5 months in my 401k. My plan is to leave all this behind and start school in the new year to get a bachelor in agriculture. I’ll tell my boss my plan so that I can wind down for the next few months without leaving anybody hanging. I can also save a bit more in the next 4-6 paychecks. Am I crazy?

Where can I find a portable AM radio on my lunch break on the west side?

I mean like those little ones that they give out or sell for cheap. Target and Best Buy didn’t have any on their websites. I’m going to hit up dollar tree too. Just need it in time for the game tonight. Anybody have any ideas?

To those who got married recently and didn’t meet on an app, where did you meet your spouse?

Where should I spend my very limited free time?

I tried coed sports leagues but free agent teams fell apart after the first one or two games and we then had to forfeit every game since nobody would show up.

Found a frame tv for $599. An absolute steal. Worked for a few weeks and now it won’t turn on. I have the 60 day return policy plan. I also bought the protection plan.

How do I maximize my savings? I do want the same TV again.

Breakdown was:

- $599 for an open box 65” frame tv
- $90 for protection plan for 2 years
- $60 for tax

The TV is toast. I swapped the oneconnect box and cable with my other identical tv and it still won’t turn on.

I know I can do it with regular cameras to trigger the plugs to turn on, but not sure if the outdoor cams can do it too since they’re a bit more limited.
