Title says it all. I'm looking for recommendations for Heritage and Workwear brands that don't break the bank.

Hello,
I want to start an Alpha Legion Kill Team, but I wanted to sort out a couple of questions with lists and painting before proceeding. Any help would be much appreciated.
List
I wanted to maintain a Kill Team that is always somewhat competitive and simpler to play. I know rules change and are updated, but I wanted to play something that has historically remained at least middling. I was thinking of running a Phobos Strike Team under an Alpha Legion scheme, using HH Assault Marines as Murderwing, or using HH MKIV Marines with upgrades as Legionnaries. Would any these fit the bill as easier to play and at least decent through the editions?
Painting
I speed paint everything, most of model turn out good, but never great, and I'm fine with that. It appears that the most common way to speed paint Alpha Legion is to start with a bright silver vase and block in with contrast paints. So my method was going to be: base silver, heavy nuln wash, heavy dry brush of a bright silver, block in panels with contract, do a few details, and tidy up.
This is similar to method I was for my Rubrics, albeit with a gold base and traditional paints. However, in my experience contracts paint blot out the under layer. Does the silver base survive contrast paints to provide the the metallic undertone, specifically with Akhelian Green or Aethermatic Blue? How bright to I need the drybrush? Would Leadbelcher work as the base coat or should I go for one of the super bright chrome paint available? Any other tips?
Again, thanks in advance for any help.
I have my first RTT of 11th in September, and I was working off the following list. While I knew the Balanced Dataslate was going to impact the list, I was not expecting Hexwarp to go to 3DP, which has left me in a pickle. I have plently of Rubric Marines and HQs (including Magnus and Ahriman) to sub in. For anything else, I'd probably need to start painting soon to make sure I'm ready in time. But ultimately, I don’t know where to embrace Grand Coven or double-down on Rubricae Phalanx
Now that my list is dust, any help re-binding would be much appreciated.

Hello,
I am looking to pickup several AoS Changecaster models to proxy as 40K Sorcerers. On sprue is best, but I'd be happy with assembled, assembled and primed, or possibly painted. If assembled, I have a strong preference for the moon head.
TIA
Hello,
I'm writing up a general, TAC Tsons list to get some reps in for 11th Edition starting this weekend. The list is currently at 1920 points, so I have 80 to play with.
With Hexwarp Thrallband and Ritual of Regeneration, the goal is to lock down the mid-board with the Sekhetar Robots, followed by SO Termies ensuring that I keep it in the Flow of Magic. The Rubric Marines are utility units to respond as needed. The Daemon Prince provides a high-mobility beat-stick, and MVB is a mid-board bully. The Tzaangors just sit in the backfield. Hopefully, Ritual of Regeneration provides the SOTs and Rubricae enough durability to slog it through the mid-game. With the additional 80 points should I throw in more Tzaangors (both their Scouting and Uppie-Downie could be practical)? I could also add in more Sekhetar as infiltrated speedbumps, but 6 starts to feel excessive without their detachment.
Thanks in advance. Any listcrafting advice is appreciated.
