Distance vision still bad one month out

I got toric, Johnson and Johnson eyehance for both eyes.
June 3, my left eye was done, we targeted Plano, as of a few weeks ago I was at -.25

June 23 my right eye was done, targeted for -1.75, day after surgery was only at -.50
I don’t have another appointment until this Friday, but I believe my right eye has significantly improved and is now closer to the target.

The problem I’m facing is that my left eye just cannot see distance clearly, I can hit 20/20 on the chart, because the only thing I can actually see well are bright digital screens, like my phone, computer or TV, or the chart in the exam room, which is on a digital screen.

But the minute I’m out in the real world, street signs are unreadable, if I’m in a grocery store, I can’t see anything clearly, it’s blurry at all distance distances
If I’m in my house and I don’t have every single light turned on, I can’t see anything.
I am seeing starburst and halos around lights that are 10 times worse than before surgery.

Literally, the only time I can see is when there’s bright sunlight outside, and even then I still can’t see far away. It just improves my near and intermediate.

The surgeon has been convinced that there’s nothing wrong, that my lenses are perfect perfectly in place. So how else do I advocate for myself at my upcoming appointment this Friday?
I don’t wanna wear glasses and I made that very clear, and I truly think that if my left eye actually hit Plano that I would have better vision.
Do I ask about a timeline for laser touchup?
Because right now I feel so discouraged. I just wanna cry every day.

Showing love to my non Pyrex 💚🧡💛

I got the Glassbake green daisy dish for $10 at a Salvation Army thrift store, and the two Anchor Hocking loaf dishes and three small dishes for like $20 at a flea market ❤️
I mainly collect Pyrex but I am a sucker for any vintage dishes, especially milk glass!

2nd surgery done yesterday, surgeon probably missed the target , but I’m not mad 🤷🏻‍♀️

Both eyes have a J&J eyehance toric lens

My left eye was done on 6/3 and we targeted right around Plano, I think my surgeon said -.18 to be exact
The first week after surgeon for just that eye I was around -.50 but as of today am down to -.25 and 20/20

My right eye was supposed to be for -1.75 but at my 1 day post op visit I’m at -.50 and can hit 20/20 pretty easy

That being said, I’m not too mad about it!
So far I can see distance great, my computer and tv are perfect, and I can read my phone with the text just set bigger
I went out to eat and could see my food and the menu, my food in front of me was a little out of focus, but very tolerable
I can read most things at an arms length too

The surgeon acknowledged I’m not as myopic as they expected, but didn’t give much commentary otherwise
Pretty much now we just wait and see

That all being said, after the first eye was done my distance vision was terrible and I could not read or see anything far away, and now that the right eye is done, it feels so much better

Now my question is, how much do we think that right eye is gonna drift to -1.75?
Because I am honestly pretty happy with my outcome so far and wouldn’t be mad if it only changed a little
A happy accident if you will 🤷🏻‍♀️

Is my residual prescription causing blurriness?

The first pic is my current refraction 1 week after surgery, second is my pre surgery script.
I had my left eye done on June 3rd, about 12 days ago
And my one week follow up appointment on June 12th, my left eye was at Sphere -.50 and Cylinder .50
My doctor targeted for Plano and I had a toric lens to correct astigmatism, but so far that’s where I am landing
But right now, my distance vision is not anywhere near as clear as I expected it to be, street signs are still blurry and I can’t read anything at the distance
Is this residual prescription enough to make my distance vision that bad? Because my pre-op prescription was much worse and I felt like I could see farther away even then?
I do have pretty bad dry eye, which I’m treating with over-the-counter drops, so I don’t know if that’s also making it worse?
My right eye is being done next week, and set for near, but I’m starting to wonder if I should’ve went with both eyes for distance

I feel like I regret my surgery

I’m only 5 days out from my left eye being done, it was a toric lens set for distance.
I know that isn’t a long time, but my vision immediately after surgery and the next day was so good. I hit 20/20 on the chart at my next day post op visit.

Now I can’t read anything up close or far away, I have to wear a pair of readers over my pair of prescription glasses to even try to see my phone.

I had the “drop less surgery” so my Dr used the Dextenza implant that releases medication… however due to dry eye I was told to use preservative free drops every hour, which I have been doing
I’m only 26 and I feel like I made the biggest mistake of my life

I can put on my old pair of glasses and can still almost see clearly out of the left side, which makes me afraid the toric lens didn’t even work and that I wasted $1600
Someone please tell me it gets better? Can they fix a rotated toric lens if that’s what is causing this??

I feel like my vision got better and now worse?

On day one right after surgery, and the day after, my left eye was crystal clear and I could see so well. I could actually read my phone with that eye, even though it was set for distance, that’s how clear it was 🙃

Then on day 3 and now day 4, my eye feels blurrier in that eye

I can’t read anything even way past arms length, and I see a wobbling out of the corner of my left eye

At my post op visit the day after, I was hitting 20/20 on the chart… and my surgeon said my incision was already healing and closing

I called the on call dr and am waiting for a call back, but has anyone experienced this before?

Kinda regret some of my tattoos, can these be fixed? Are they as terrible as I think?

So I have Vincent van Gogh on my fore arm, he’s definitely faded because I did not wear enough sunscreen ☹️
And then I have the cat and paw on my wrist, and the mushrooms on my ankle
Part of me just feels like all of them are just awful, but then sometimes I think they don’t look too terrible?
Can I fix any of these? Do I just need a good touchup?

How do I dispose of this jar?

I have this jar, have had it for several years, it’s even moved homes with me because I was afraid to throw it away.
It’s just a jar that has some little luck spells, or manifestations in it, every few months I would open it up, add some lavender or new spells, burn a candle and seal it back up with wax.

I really want to start a new one, as the jar itself is deteriorating… but I am afraid if I throw it away, that I will have bad luck or the spells inside will backfire on me 🙃
Should I bury the jar and burn all the papers inside? Or just move the papers to another jar?

I made my first money bowl 💚🍃

I added rice and salt to the bottom
Then mixed in cinnamon powder, rosemary, thyme, and fresh and dried lavender from my garden
Then I added some fresh sage and mint leaves around the edge from my herb garden
And then I topped it off with two sage leaves with my intentions, and some money of course 💚
I’ve done good luck spells in the past, but this is my first time making a money bowl and I’m excited! 😊

Fun ashtray from 1969 ✌🏼☮️

I got this groovy ashtray from my local antique store for a few bucks, it says Sharon ‘69

It’s pretty heavy, and about 8 inches wide

I’m assuming it was homemade, from a mold?

But I like to think she would be happy to know her creation has lived on and gotten use this long, and I’ll be using it for soooo many more years! ❤️

Smoking pot after surgery?

Random question, and something I will be asking my dr tomorrow during my pre op appt anyways, but was just curious if anyone had experience?

I live in Michigan, a legal marijuana state, and I enjoy smoking sometimes 🤷🏻‍♀️

I plan to stop the week before surgery, but I am just kinda curious when I can resume after surgery?

My surgeries are two weeks apart, so I assumed after about 3 weeks after the last surgery I would be in the clear, but just kind of curious if anyone else had experience with this before?

Confused about mono vision

I have been trialing monovision with contacts for the last week and a half

The problem is my eyes are extremely dry due to a medication I am on, and I have a computer job

So when I first put on the contacts, I can see really clear at all distances, but then within 30 minutes of working

Everything becomes blurry at all distances

I use preservative free eye drops, and I get some clarity back, but it still stays a little blurry

Does this mean mono vision is not for me? Or I just can’t tolerate contacts well?

Because I don’t feel nauseous, my depth perception seems fine… it’s just everything gets a little blurry after a while

But I have to let my eye surgeon know this week if I want to commit to mono vision for the surgery, and I’m a little nervous to say yes

First surgery in just two weeks, I’m feeling scared for the recovery 🙃

Im 26, and getting both eyes done in June

The first eye on June 3rd, second on June 23rd

I’m doing toric lenses with mono vision though my dr and I still haven’t picked the exact targets yet, that’ll be this week

Just afraid for the recovery mainly, I work from home with a computer job.

So I only took like a day or two off after each surgery, and my surgeon thinks I’ll be able to go back to work pretty quickly? Does that seem reasonable?

Or should I be taking more time off?

I’m also totally afraid of showering… I have pretty long hair, so should I just be buying like a plastic visor/shield and standing away from the water?

I’m just freaking myself out about doing everything right ☹️
