Sony Bravia 3 - Netflix dialogue is way too quiet, but BGM/explosions are deafeningly loud. Any fix?

I’m having a really frustrating audio issue with the native Netflix app on my Sony Bravia 3 and could use some help.
Basically, the audio balance is completely out of whack:
When the volume is below 40: The background music (BGM) and sound effects sound fine, but the dialogue is so low that I can barely understand what characters are saying.
When the volume is 50+: I can finally hear the dialogues clearly, but the second an action scene starts or background music kicks in, it becomes incredibly loud and wakes up the whole house.
I am using the TV's internal speakers. Does anyone know a specific setting on the Bravia 3 or within the Netflix app to fix this? I've looked for a dialogue booster or night mode but haven't had much luck balancing it out.
