Sony Bravia 3 - Netflix dialogue is way too quiet, but BGM/explosions are deafeningly loud. Any fix?

Hey everyone,

I’m having a really frustrating audio issue with the native Netflix app on my Sony Bravia 3 and could use some help.

Basically, the audio balance is completely out of whack:

When the volume is below 40: The background music (BGM) and sound effects sound fine, but the dialogue is so low that I can barely understand what characters are saying.

When the volume is 50+: I can finally hear the dialogues clearly, but the second an action scene starts or background music kicks in, it becomes incredibly loud and wakes up the whole house.

I am using the TV's internal speakers. Does anyone know a specific setting on the Bravia 3 or within the Netflix app to fix this? I've looked for a dialogue booster or night mode but haven't had much luck balancing it out.

Appreciate any suggestions!

Where to buy 100% original, multi-brand sunglasses in Pune? (No fakes/first copies)

Hey guys, looking to buy a good pair of shades because the Pune sun is getting brutal.

I want to go to a physical store where I can try on multiple brands (Ray-Ban, Oakley, Polaroid, Carrera, etc.) at the same place to see what actually suits my face shape.

The main thing is they have to be 100% original. I really don't want to risk buying a "first copy" or some replica, so please don't suggest Fashion Street or the duplicate shops around MG Road lol.

Are there any big multi-brand showrooms or trusted optical legacy shops you guys swear by? I've checked Lenskart but their international brand collection is kinda meh.

Which specific malls or shops (GKB, Lawrence & Mayo, Gangar, etc.) have the absolute best variety and won't rip me off? Bonus points if they have any ongoing discounts or card offers.

Thanks!

Indian tourists who rented scooters in Bali — what all documents/rules should I know before driving there?

Hi everyone,

Travelling to Bali from India soon (Nusa Dua → Nusa Penida → Ubud route) and planning to rent a scooter for short rides locally.

Wanted to understand from Indians/recent travellers:

What documents are actually required?

Indian license enough?

Need International Driving Permit (IDP)?

Do rental shops genuinely check documents?

How strict are Bali police checks for tourists?

What are the common traffic rules tourists should know?

Is helmet compulsory for both rider and pillion?

Any areas where riding is difficult/dangerous?

Is Google Maps reliable there for bike routes?

Any scams/fines tourists should watch out for?

Is it even worth renting a scooter vs just using Grab/Gojek?

Would love practical advice from people who recently drove in Bali 🙂

Witnessed a Drunk Driving Accident in Karve Nagar Last Night -The System's Response Shocked Me!

Last night in Karve Nagar, Pune, I witnessed a pretty serious accident involving two guys on a Bullet.

From what I understood, their front tyre suddenly burst , maybe because of harsh braking, and both of them were thrown off the bike. I immediately ran towards them thinking they had lost consciousness.

But once I got closer, I realised both of them were heavily drunk.

One guy didn’t seem seriously injured, but he was around 90% unconscious because of how drunk he was. The other guy, who was probably the rider, was bleeding from his nose and mouth.

For a moment I hesitated to move him because I was scared there could be internal injuries or spinal damage, and I didn’t want to make things worse. By then, a few more people had gathered around, so I stepped back and stayed nearby with my wife while trying to arrange help.

What shocked me more was the response from the system around us.

My wife contacted an ambulance service, and the guy literally said, “What do I do with an accident?” He then asked whether we were going to handle all the hospital paperwork and basically refused to come, despite the ambulance apparently being parked exactly at the accident spot.

Meanwhile, during all this, around 3 police vans passed by the scene.

Not a single one stopped.

That honestly hit me hard. It made me realise how helpless common people can feel even though it’s literally our tax money paying these systems and salaries.

And strangely, the moment I realised the riders were drunk, I felt my sympathy reduce instantly. Maybe that sounds harsh, but drinking and driving is one of the most selfish things you can do. You’re not just risking your own life, you’re risking innocent people’s lives and putting your parents and family through potential trauma forever.

Please think about your parents before drinking and driving.

Those guys looked barely 25–28 years old.

8 Days in Bali: Review my lunch/dinner list? (Nusa Dua, Penida, Ubud)

Hey! Doing a DIY trip and need a reality check on my food/hangout spots. I'm looking for "must-try" places that have good non-veg Indian options (specifically looking for great chicken and prawn dishes).

Current List:

Rock Bar & Malini Restaurant (Uluwatu)

Finns Beach Club (Canggu)

Amarta Penida (Nusa Penida).

Hi everyone,

Travelling to Bali from India from 24 June to 2 July (Nusa Dua → Nusa Penida → Ubud). We’ll be doing a fully DIY trip using Grab, Klook, Google Maps etc. constantly.

Trying to decide between:

Airalo eSIM (Telkomsel network) vs

buying a physical tourist SIM at Bali airport.

Main priorities:

Reliable data in Nusa Penida

Smooth Grab/Gojek usage

Avoiding airport SIM hassle

Easy activation

Questions:

Is Airalo + Telkomsel reliable enough for Bali + Nusa Penida?

When should I activate the eSIM?

Is 10GB enough for 9 days for maps/social media/basic usage?

Any better eSIM options than Airalo currently?

Would love recent experiences from people who visited Bali recently 🙂

Hey everyone!

Planning a trip to Bali for 8 nights/9 days and feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the booking options. I want to make sure I’m using official sites where possible and avoiding any middleman scams.

Would love your advice on the best way to book these specifically:

Activities:

Aloha Swing & Kuber ATV: Is it better to book these directly on their websites or is there a specific WhatsApp contact?

Kecak Dance (Uluwatu): I’ve heard tickets sell out fast. Can I book online, or is it better to just show up early?

Nusa Penida Ferry: Looking for a reliable company for a round trip. Which port/company is the least chaotic?

Finns Beach Club: Booking a table for 2. Is the "minimum spend" still the best way to go, or is there a trick to getting a good spot?

Connectivity & Logistics:

e-SIM: For 9 days, which provider has the best coverage (Telkomsel vs. others)? How much data would you suggest for heavy Maps/Social Media use?

e-Visa: When is the sweet spot to apply? Is the official .go.id site enough, or are there hidden "express" fees I should know about?

Scam Prevention & Reliability:

What are the best alternatives to Klook? I’ve heard mixed things about Gojek/Grab for long-distance vs. private drivers.

Authentic Contacts: Does anyone have a "person" (driver/guide) they’ve used multiple times who is 100% legit? Looking for someone who won't push "commission" shops on us.

Any "wish I knew before I went" tips for these specific spots would be amazing. Thanks in advance!

Planning a trip to Bali in late June and looking for a private driver for about 5-6 days of touring. We’ll be covering South Bali, Nusa Penida, and the Ubud area.

I’m looking for an authentic local contact who is trustworthy and "takes care of everything" (toll fees, parking, etc.) so we don't have to worry about the logistics at every stop.

Has anyone here had a great experience with a specific driver recently? How did you handle the booking/payment (did you pay a deposit)?

Would love to hear any personal stories or contacts you can share! 🇮🇩
