Freedom update

So the other day I made a post about having freedom from my family temporarily so here's the follow up

As for the weekend, it was okay, hot as hell, my parents went to visit my sister in another state so they were gone for the most part.

Went to the fast food in campus and one of the guys (who's clearly African) who works there just decided to greet me by my name?? (For the program I'm doing we have to wear a lanyard with a name tag so they know we're supposed to be on campus) And I was like, okay weird um. Then today something possessed him to say, and I quote, "hey baby" ???

We also have to live on campus

Firstly I'm a minor, secondly, shut the fuck up you nasty piece of shit??

Safe to say I'm not going to subway here anymore

Dude I'm gonna cry

I was playing doors and first run I got to 100 but got killed thru a wall

Second run I found a crucifix in a drawer and got to door 50. Was getting books, saw figure across the room, mind you, I was in that blocked off nook looked for 2 seconds. I turn around he's there, I try sneaking away, my crucifix got used so I just rage quit

Theoretically, I could've waited till the shop and get a crucifix but there's also a low chance that a crucifix won't spawn so

What do y'all do at parties?

Like genuinely what happens over there that's so fun

Genuine question cus I've never been to a party. The closest experience I've had was a cruise ship and everyone was dancing and that's about it. Is that what like the parties are like or is there more? Other than drugs and alcohol

Anyone else's dad insane?

My dad is racist, homophobic, transphobic, all the phobics you can think of, even towards black Americans. He's also really stupid, like during quarantine when everyone was supposed to get vaccinated he literally refused to for the longest time cause he saw on Facebook that the government is putting chips in them. 🫩

Also, in 8th grade (I was 14 btw), he made me changed rooms because one of the girls in there was trans (mind you she's been trans since like kindergarten) (also actually two but he hasn't transitioned yet fully) and he said that she was going to rape me in the middle of the night. 🫩🫩🫩🫩 Cause yeah, a 14 year old girl is going to rape only me and everyone else in the room would just let it happen🫩🫩 mind you I've know this girl for 9 years 🫩🫩 but yeah out of all the ppl in the room it's going to be me. 🫩 Did I mention that we were 14?? I think even if you put me in a room with the boys in my grade, they wouldn't even look towards me.

That's just so crazy tho, like how'd he even come up with that crazy revelation. Well jokes on them all my friends are gay or trans 🫶🫶

Also this one time he said I couldn't hang out with my friend (who is 6 months older than me, like my brother) because they were gonna kidnap me 🫩 but he will gladly send me off across the state for a youth convention with a family that just moved to the church few weeks prior (no shade to them tho I love them all ♥️) he's so out of tune with my life last time he knew I was hanging out with them he was so skeptical of them and said to share my location 😂😂 little does he know we've hanged out many times and they picked me up and we even went to their house once! Silly silly

I'm free!!! (Temporarily)

So I'm in a college program and this year we get to stay on campus, so I'm free from my African parents and sibling for 5 days a week for three weeks!! Yippee and on top of that, I have no roommates, so not only do I get my room to myself, but the bathroom as well! I've never felt so content...

Mother is stupid

Anyone else's mother or parent come accuse you and won't even listen to your side of the story, and then on top of that if they do they'll ignore you or say you're "talking back to them."

This happened this morning: apparently my mom was calling me but I didn't hear her. Not cause of my phone, but because of my fan that's on full blast because it's hot as fucking shit but my parents love to procrastinate getting the AC fixed during the summer. Anyways, she comes in sees me on my phone and yaps about that and was like "you're ignoring me and you have an attitude, this been happening since yesterday!" What? What did I do yesterday???? I didn't even respond to her to tell her that I just couldn't hear her cause it wasn't worth it.

She was telling about her bag yesterday and prior to that she told me to put her bag in her room and I did, maybe it fell off the bed or something and that's why she's mad. She's always so quick to say I have an attitude, the truth is, I'm not allowed to get mad in this house, just compliant.

Anyways, along with this, if you're a woman, does your mom also constantly go on those, "you're a woman, blah blah blah" tangents? For reference my room is dirty. I mean, I want it to be clean. Actually, I want a lot of stuff but yk.

So. Anyways, anyone else experience this?

Does anyone else's mom or parents do this

Whenever I post in here I usually say parents but it's really just my mother because my dad doesn't do shit and he's just a stupid cuck who just agrees with everything she says.

Like I'll tell her that I'm not going or don't want to go and after a while she'll just get mad and say something like "make sure you do [insert long time consuming chore] before I get back or [insert threat here] !!!"

Anyways, does anyone's parental figures try to force you to go somewhere, and then when you don't they just pour a bunch of chores on you?

Any theory on why black pants is always a safe choice?

Black underwear or pants obviously don't stain. I don't know about y'all, but does anyone else just not bleed (like liquid) through if they're wearing dark/black pants? If so, do you know why this is?

Does anybody else's edge browser just completely crash everytime you open up a discussion post? Like with all your peers' replies. I know it's specifically Microsoft edge because I deleted better campus, used chrome browser, deleted better campus on there, and so is just edge

So, I take biology 140 and my past tests range from 50-65. I just took a test that I studied hard for. I mean, I tried active recall, I tried blurting, I attempted reading the textbook, all just to get a 62! I just want to pass this class and my final is worth 150 points and it's next monday. Am I genuinely stupid or do I just stuck at studying? Or is biology just hard for some reason?

I feel like I don't have any culture that I can truly connect to. My parents are African (well duh) but we live in the states. Now, I basically did nothing my whole life but school, church, and the grocery store and a like 2 clubs so basically growing up I had no life and no way to connect. Along with that, my k-8 school was a little bit a pwi, not that I have a problem with that but like it was 60 percent white and then 40 percent everyone else. Anyways, so, I'm not really in tune with black American culture because I didn't really have any black Americans friends except for in kindergarten and 2nd grade but they were low-key mixed and all my other friends were mainly Asian and Mexican with a few exceptions. As for my African culture, I mean I'm Nigerian but we have all these different tribes and I just happened to be blessed (sarcasm) to be apart of the tribe that nobody knows, has like 200 people left, and apparently the culture we have is stolen from another tribe so yeah!

I feel like I just have 0 culture..
