Are there any other single mom's here trying to navigate parenthood with a narc mother?

I have felt incredibly alone and awful in my role as a mother. I had a very rough 2025. I gave birth prematurely and almost lost my child on top of that I was going through DV with my then partner. It was hell! My parents did help me financially when I finally left that situation. My mother and I have sadly never had a great relationship. For reasons unknown to me and I am sick of trying to figure out, she saves all her venom and wrath for me. Its very sad as a single mom just needing encouragement and support. I have made boundaries tons of times and they are ignored. She judges everything I do with my child. I feel like i'm a bad mom because of her. I receive zero child support and have a hard with certain bills, my parents do help, but of course she holds it over my head. I depend of my parents for childcare, so I cant go no contact. My dad isnt too big of a help, but does tell her to back off and let me be. I am early 40s and just would like some support. Why cant they just let me live my life and respect my boundaries? I feel very low lately. Just looking for some insight on any other mom's in my situation. TIA!

Season 2 Halloween episode...

Holy shit did this episode age badly! This is when Kelly is SA'd by the college aged guy at the Halloween party. They used the "She shouldn't have dressed so sexy" bs excuse. Dylan was the voice of reason and told her it didnt matter how she dressed or acted, men have a choice. Why did it take decades for people to adapt that way of thinking? Sadly a lot of the older generations still think this way. Makes me furious as a mother. Thank God there are men like Steve who will always defend their friends. More stand up men like this are needed in the world!

Parents: How old is your child going to see PP Dino movie?

My son is just about 17 months old and he is really into PP now. We even had a PP themed party for his first birthday. We have a few streamers at home and have tried watching a few movies, but its hard for him to make it the whole way through. Is it worth taking him for the first time to see this? I'm sure it will be on a streamer by Halloween time or late Fall, but its kind of more for the experience than getting to see the whole movie. I may take him to drive in so worse comes to worse if he falls asleep I can enjoy it myself! I just took him to his first major sports event also which he lasted about three hours, so I'm hoping this will go good. How old were your kids when they went to their first movie?

Season 3 Rewatch Observations

My #1 observation is why the hell is Ramona running around flashing her engagement ring and saying she getting married to a guy in prison?! I'd wont do it until I definitely knew his sentence and even then I would be rethinking it, and hiding it. How is she not embarrassed? When she and Karen got into a fight about it, Karen was absolutely right. Also we know Love is nuts, but does she talk the way she talks to keep everyone a little scared of her? The way she fixates on Carla then goes on to attack her is demented. She has to have a personality disorder. I hope she's medicated!

Opening Title...

I have been watching episodes on Roku live, and I completely forgot the first season had a different opening title sequence! They play the episodes in an odd order. What season did it switch to the white background cast hanging out that stayed the rest of the series?

Furious...

Has anybody watched the first three episodes this week? Its somewhat disturbing subject matter, but if u are a fan of Emme Rossum or crime shows its worth a watch. What do u think so far if u have watched?

Did anybody else come to the realization that...

I found the SBTB channel on my live Roku and started watching again. Did anybody else think if this was modern day Zack would of been diagnosed as having ADHD and tried to stick him on Adderall? Probably Screech too, but he wasn't always getting in as much trouble as Zack. I also wonder why they didnt remaster the show? The quality looks absolutely awful the bigger your screen is.

Rewatch Observations: Season 1

I got Paramount+ and saw Mob Wives is on there, so I started a rewatch since its Summer and most shows are on break til Fall. I hated Karen the first time around and loved Drita, but I'm finding myself side eyeing her a lot in season one and even season 2 first episodes with the big fight @ Renee's Celebration of Life party. Drita was so worried about Karen making Lee look bad in her book, but won't even read the first chapter. Karen really should have let it go as it was in the past, but it seems like Drita was living "love is blind" because she knew Lee was as as$hole! She was so worried about him being bad mouthed and her kids being affected, but she didn't seem to care she wasn't setting a good example by fighting constantly. She could have saved herself a lot of heartache if she divorced him back then. Carla is the only one who seemed level headed (except about her creepy bf) Karen was very straight forward about her feelings and intentions though, so why did Drita go off over everything so much with her?!

Did anybody notice in Jo Ellen's talking heads...

She has a Teresa hairline! Her hairline looks very odd in the slick backed ponytail, but different when her hair is down. She does have gorgeous hair though!
