I’m curious if Beshear has any information about McConnell’s status.
Not that he would divulge any private info, but do you think he has more information than has been released ?

I kinda want one of everything! https://www.chileantastes.com/
This was my Grandmother’s. She gave it to me 30 years ago and it is wonderful. I need to use it more often than I do (mostly pie crusts). I’m so impressed by her I want to name her. Any suggestions?
We’ve had this pool for nearly 20 years and I’ve always been the one to open/close/maintain it. We’ve replaced pumps, filter media, and liners on our own. Every year there seems to be a new challenge and I learn something and it gets resolved. The pool store I use ( I know they want to sell me chemicals) is owned by a guy I first met when he was a teenager working at a Leslie’s. He opened his own shop a mile from my house and has expanded to three stores. All this to say, I trust him (within reason, I know he needs to make a profit). He has even revised the recommendations that come off the printer when a young kid says, “you need a, b, c, and d”. He’s crossed out a,b,c and said, “You really just need d.”
This brings us to this year. I opened in early/mid May. Temps were cool so I wasn’t in a hurry. I started as usual with lots of liquid shock (12%). Pool went from green to blue quickly. I have always checked chems at his store because it’s close and convenient. Chemistry was good but water was cloudy so we eventually decided on changing the media. We hadn’t changed it in 6 years or so. Switched from sand to glass. I did read some folks had problems with cloudiness, but saw more positive than negative so went with it.
Chemistry is still good but I SLAMMED it and it cleared some but not much. I cannot see the bottom of the shallow end, though I can see bottom step (3 ft). I really don’t want to floc it- I hate it, but I did try to floc it last week. Nothing much settled. I did vac to waste a bit but it was still cloudy so I was just blindly vacuuming. New manager talked me into Oxy Brite, that did nothing. (She has almost made me stop going to his store because she’s so abrupt, just not friendly)I have clarifier, that helped a little. I have been running pump 24/7 (except when I flocked)
Here are my numbers now.
FC 12
pH 7.5
Alkalinity 91
CYA 37
Phosphates 389. (I have phos free but was told to wait until clear)
Pool size 15,000 gallons. In ground.
Pool store owner says we’re down to two ideas: 4 more gallons of shock or floc it again.
I’m leaning towards 4 more gallons of shock ( I REALLY don’t want to )
Looking for gentle advice.
F55. First time ever really committing to fitness. I’ve been going to the gym for 12 weeks 5-6 days a week. Cardio (stair master)for 20 minutes. Weights (mostly pin weights and plate loaded machines) and sled push/pull (160 lbs) for 45-50 minutes. My biggest fear is losing momentum, but today I did my regular lower body workout and added an hour of vinyasa yoga because I know I can’t go Friday so I tried to double up. Problem is, after the workout I had a really busy day and now I’m exhausted. What should I do tomorrow: light workout or rest? I am not good about resting because of the “losing momentum “ stuff.
A friend recommended Emma M Lion to me because she knew I love a spunky heroine, especially from late 1800’s or early 1900’s. I tried searching the subreddit to see if any of my favorites came up and they didn’t.
