Registration Worksheet

Hello! This is probably a very stupid question, but on Yale Courses, I made a few worksheets to plan out my classes (with help from coursetable). For first year registration tomorrow, how do I actually register? Do I need to first delete the worksheets I made? Does a new blank worksheet pop up that I can use to register classes (like the one in the video)? Do I access it another way? Thank you!

Gen Chem Lab

Incoming freshman here: I’ve heard some really terrible thing about gen chem lab at Yale, and I’m extremely nervous about it. I was wondering what your overview of the class was (why is it so difficult) and whether it was very difficult to achieve an A/A- and what % of people are actually able to?

Gen Chem 1 Lab

Hi, I’ve been looking at the coursetable scores and just in general and see everyone saying gen chem is an extremely difficult class, especially the lab section. I was wondering what the grades are looking like, and why do students find it so difficult (even when compared to first year orgo)? Thank you!

Is this the norm?

Hi, thanks in advance!

I’m an undergraduate student and last summer I was working in a lab conducting a sub-project of our main hypothesis. It looks like my sub-project specifically will not be included in the paper, as the focus has pivoted, but my mentor said that I will still be an author. Is this the norm or do you think my mentor will end up not including me (he has a reputstion of empty promises sometimes)?

Thank you!!

Hours Question

I worked about 40ish hrs/week for 10 weeks the summer of my junior year summer (HS) in a lab, and about 8 hours/week for about half of senior year, and about 35ish hrs/week for ~11/12 weeks senior year summer (HS). I was wondering would I count this for my total research hours for this acticity if I’m still working in this lab (but the junior year project is a different project than the one I started during my senior year and have worked on throughout undergrad? - but still investigating the same disease)

Diversification

Hi I’m a younger investor and have grown my portfolio very well over the past 3 years, getting into AMD/NVDA super low with returns around 400% for both. However, NVDA/AMD now make up nearly 65-70% of my portfolio and I’m really big on this sector. I understand that this poses significant risks, so i was wondering whether anyone has good picks for other ones with strong growth, great fundamentals, and a long term outlook?

I’m more so interested in individual stocks as opposed to ETFs (which I know bring great diversification), but either recommendation would be incredibly useful. Thanks!!
