Does my body pass?

I got top surgery about a month ago so I haven’t been able to work out at all and I feel like I’ve lost any upper body muscle mass I once had. I know I need to work out my arms and shoulders but how bad is it? Do my shoulders and hips and waist give me away?

Is this swelling bad?

I’m 9 days post-op and I know swelling is normal at this stage but the swelling(?) in this particular spot is just stressing me out because it’s different. I feel like it looks like a lump on my chest. You can see it best when I’m raising my shoulders like in the third picture. It feels soft and squishy and it isn’t an unusual temperature which is good. I think it was somewhat there initially but I feel like it got a lot bigger yesterday after not wearing my compression top for a number of hours while I was washing it. It also feels kinda weird and the front of my shoulder beside it has started feeling weird too but I don’t know if that’s just anxiety making me imagine things. I have poor interoception because I’m autistic so I’m not quite sure what the feeling is but it’s kind of like muscle soreness along with a mild version of the feeling of hitting my funny bone. It might be partially from the compression binder itself but it’s hard to tell. Is this normal? Should I tell my surgeon?

Is Samuel Nicholas too much for a three-syllable last name?

I’m changing my legal name soon and I’m pretty set on Samuel for my first name. My old middle name is Nicole and I think Nicholas is a really nice name so I was thinking of making it my middle name, though I’m not committed to it. The main problem I have with it is that my last name is three syllables (same rhythm as Emmerson) and I’m worried that my full name will be too long and monotonous. I may just be overthinking it though. Do you think it sounds fine or would a different middle name work better?

Do I pass in group pictures?

People gender me correctly irl pretty much all the time now but I’m 5’3 so I’m usually the shortest in the group and I feel like seeing me in scale with other people makes me instantly clockable as trans. And I’m 20 so I don’t have the excuse of being a teen anymore. I also feel like my shoulders are so small and my hips are so wide and my body just looks out of place around other people. My face too but I’m not gonna show other peoples faces so you can’t see that in these photos. I know I have to work out more to build my upper body and more facial changes will come with more time on t but I don’t know if my height and hip size makes it kind of hopeless. I also just hate the uncertainty of not knowing what other people think because I know my own perception is distorted by dysphoria but I don’t know how much and I have no clue what other people truly think

I’m so happy with my results. I feel so at home in my body

I’m only five days post-op so there’s still some swelling and a bit of bruising but I’m genuinely so happy with how my chest looks already and I can’t believe it looks so good. I feel like I look so much more normal now, like my boobs were never a real part of me

4 days post-op keyhole

I had keyhole top surgery with Dr. Beber in Toronto last Thursday. I’m really happy with my recovery and results so far. It’s only been a few days but I got to see my chest for the first time today and it looks a lot better than I expected. I was borderline for keyhole because of my chest size but my skin tightened really well.

The surgery took quite a bit longer than expected (about 4 and half hours when it usually takes about 2 and a half) because my breast tissue was very dense and hard to get out of the little hole. Dr. Beber could have made a bigger incision to make it easier but he did it the hard way and I’m really glad he did because it looks like my scarring is gonna be really minimal.

My recovery has been much easier than expected. I’ve been on the prescribed anti-inflammatory painkillers but I haven’t had to take anything for breakthrough pain. I’d say the worst part has been the discomfort of the compression top which is like a big, tight binder. I also had drains but there wasn’t much fluid coming out and I got them removed today at the first post-op appointment.

Is anyone else unable to access their York email?

My browser logged me out for some reason and now when I try to log in it just shows me a screen that says "This account cannot be accessed because we could not parse the login request." It's doing this on both my phone and computer, and my personal email is working fine. Is anyone else having this problem?

Will my body be able to pass after top surgery?

I’m getting keyhole in about a month and a half and I’m worried that I still won’t be able to pass shirtless after it because of my hips and waist. I’ve started working out but it’s only been about a month so I haven’t seen much change so far.
My shorts are weird because they’re swim trunks and I don’t have any other shorts

Has my face changed at all on t? Do I pass yet?

It's the middle of the night night and I'm super tired and feeling very dysphoric and it's freaking me out that I look the same as a few years ago but I don't know if it's just in my head or if it's real. The pictures go recent, pre-t, recent, pre-t. I've been on t for almost 2 years but it's a low dose.
