deals advisory prep

Hi, I’m interested in KPMG’s deals vertical and have the opportunity to apply through campus. I’m a fresher(undergrad) and was wondering if someone well versed could explain the various departments/areas like M&A, Valuations etc., and how I should prepare for or expect from an interview.

I’m particularly interested in valuations, but don’t have experience and am unsure if it’s the right choice. Any guidance would be great, thank you.

new to cog! looking for rivals/enemies to lovers

hi all, i’ve just started with cog and was looking for some recs. so far, i’ve played two of harris powell smith’s IFs: cdlc and royal affairs.

i had seen these recommended quite a bit for their rival/frenemy ROs and while i didn’t have a terrible experience i felt there was a lot left to be desired in the romance department.

in cdlc, blaise was >!kinda barely there, and i felt like they got together too abruptly.!< in javi’s case, i just didn’t think the romance was compelling enough - there wasn’t much of a focus on it, but i did like the whole bit w them being pressured to marry bc of political reasons, despising each other’s guts, and yet falling in love anyways.

what i’m looking for specifically is a game with supremely good banter, and gradual, believable romantic progression. a RO that i don’t have to go out of my way to be nice to in order to progress the relationship if they’re uncharitable towards the MC. being brought together by circumstance/forcefully and taking a while to actually warm up to each other. doesn’t necessarily have to be a “villain” RO, just a dislike/hate-to-love type of relationship is good too!

as for the setting i’m open to anything if it’s good but i do tend to like political intrigue/court settings/noble/royalty stuff.

i also don’t mind plot heavy games as long as the romance is very good.

thank you!

Got a referral, unsure of next steps

Hi everyone, fresher here. I worked at PwC as an intern while pursuing my undergraduate and got a referral for a full time opportunity. Few questions, as I’m unsure of how to navigate this situation:

  1. Does having a referral give you any leverage to negotiate comp, or is the fresher band completely fixed regardless? I graduated from a tier 1 college. The compensation being offered will barely even cover my conveyance costs to travel up and down from work.

  2. Is internal movement between LoS realistic in the first 1-2 years?

Advice for an MBA in Europe

Hi All,

As the title says, I am looking to do an MBA in Europe.

Profile: Currently 20F, graduating from the best college in my country(India) for my field of study(business and commerce), have done 2-3 internships at a big 4 and another well known accounting/consulting firm(big 6), and will be joining a big 4 through a PPO I received from the aforementioned internship. Will be giving my CFA L1 exam in Feb 2027.

I slacked off during my undergraduate because I got too comfortable with the brand name my college offered me. As a result, my CGPA is not the best. (3.12 on a 4 scale, might go up to a 3.2 after this semester).

I’ve always wanted to go to Europe for higher education, and have plans of doing so after 3-4 years of work ex in my home country. But I am unsure of what particular country to target. From the research I’ve done - pay and employability for international students varies greatly from country to country, and even between different similarly ranked schools. As does the importance of the native language proficiency required.

However, learning a language is not an issue for me, since I have time. I want to start learning side by side while I get my work ex so I can be sufficiently prepared when I do end up going for my MBA. Hence the dilemma - unsure of which country to target, what language to learn given each country’s job climate, schools’ placements, and ROI.

Consulting at an MBB in a stable country is the end goal.

Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated! Thank you. :)

hello, ive been using ryujinx canary for tomo life for around a week now and apart from a few crashes here and there the game was working fine enough. i boot up my game today like normal and it suddenly says my save data is corrupted. ive spent around 40-50 hours on the game already and was wondering if theres any way to salvage this :((

also i tried restoring previous versions of the files in the save directory but it said there were none available. Didn’t make any backups either. i also have an old ryujinx build installed from a year ago, could that be messing with the save files?
