[FpA4A] Literally All My Ideas!
Overview:
First of all, I would like to say thank you for clicking on my post! The basics, I am a 24-year-old female living in the United Kingdom. I am a stay-at-home mum, so I tend to be available during reasonable hours. My current timezone is BST (GMT when daylight savings passes). I write only on Discord, where I like to make a server for us to keep things organised and easily referenced — still dm me on Reddit first to discuss things before we head over there. Include your favourite animal so ik you read the post.
For the past 2 years I have primarily been writing male primary characters in MxF pairings. This would be my preference but I am flexible.
- I write in 3rd person, past tense.
- I consider myself advanced literate, writing anywhere between 1 paragraph and twice the Discord limit, depending on the context.
- I will not godmod, metagame, or write a Gary Stu.
- I will respond to the entirety of your post, not each snippet of dialogue separately; this avoids godmodding in my experience.
- I will not write smut or anything overly explicit.
Fandoms:
The Hunger Games
I am not interested in any canon pairings for this fandom.
What I am looking for is to further worldbuild Panem; this would be through the lens of someone who has won the Hunger Games and is now in the same situation Finnick describes. This would very much be a hurt/comfort story with some essence of an AU rebellion coming to light throughout. Pairings for this would be either Victor/Victor or Victor/Sponsor.
RDR2
I would be interested in taking inspiration either from the main story or online mode, or ofc both. The western genre at large would act as inspiration, just like it did for R*, I just think that the map of Red Dead gives us permission to not be too historically or geographically accurate.
There are a couple of plots that could work for this idea. Here are some of my ideas.
- Our characters already know each other (i.e. lovers, members of the same gang, childhood acquaintances) and they decide to radically change their lives. Their whole world would change when comrades turn hostile and their past chases after them. Ideally, this would end up in an equivalent of John buying Beecher's Hope, but a girl can dream.
- A female mc meets the other mc and decides to use this as an opportunity to escape her old life (i.e. stifling family situation, prostitution, etc.). This will more likely be a monster of the week gang RP, but it can still be a lot of fun as we explore and could eventually turn into the situation above.
- An upstanding member of society falls into hard times and becomes a bounty hunter. (the list could really go on with variations of this)
ASOIAF/GOT
- Lyanna survives the Tower of Joy. There are several ways this could go - my preference would be for Robert and Lyanna to still marry. Still, there are other questions, like did she really love Rhaegar or just believe the prophecy? Will she still have a child by him? etc. etc.
- Our own AU/prequel set during any era. I haven't watched HotD, but I know enough from reading the books and reading up on lore. OCs would be preferable for this. AWOIAF is our best friend.
- AU GoT. We could create whatever OCs we like, fulfil whatever tropes we like and see how that affects the canon long-term. Maybe Rhaegar's daughter Rhaenys survived the war and has become a pawn in a great game, perhaps Cersei didn't have incestuous children, and there's a marriage alliance formed with the Starks, like between Sansa and Joffrey.
ATLA/LOK
- I would like to write a sympathetic prequel, perhaps we could replace Avatar Roku and Fire Lord Sozin for our own dynamic, and things could arrive at wherever the tide takes us.
- Azula's redemption? It's my opinion that the comics have done a poor job at exploring the world after Book 3. Making our own Book 4/5 would be particularly fun and definitely would lean into the Star Wars inspirations for the series. Azula is a character that mostly gets left behind as unsalvagable, which is a great shame because she is only 14 by the time the canon story ended. This gives us other opportunities for post-canon Gaang, which would be pretty fun!
- Korra Sequel. One of us would take up the mantle of the new Earth "Kingdom" Avatar, we may have to change some things from Korra's canon, or worldbuild them out to get a grasp of where we are and what the rules of the world are.
Other Fandoms:
- The 100 - basically rewrite it using the original premise, post-apocalypse, a group are sent back to earth to see it is habitable only to find out it had been inhabited all that time and a new primative culture has come about. I would want to respecify who the 100 are, so that they aren't minors.
- HTTYD - again a rewrite, vikings and dragons in a more gritty setting.
- Star Wars - basic. Jedi that survives Order 66
- Stardew Valley - again, just stealing the concept.
- Once Upon a Time - Stolen concept, storybook characters reintrepreted/stuck in the modern world.
- More, just lmk if you have any niche requests I haven't listed here.
Non-Fandom
HIFI - History is one of my great loves in life and I would be pretty confident approaching more or less any time period or location. That established, I would be especially interested in doing a story inspired by the works of Tolstoy or some AU history.
Fantasy - I really love worldbuilding, mythical creatures and silly tropes!
SoL - Comfy romances with enough of a twist that the plot keeps feeling fresh and moving forward. Perhaps this is a crime-mystery, or one of our characters is famous and is super cautious of their new relationship. The world is your oyster.
