After just 2 months in the dirt the log o’learnin has its first pup!

My last post received a small amount of hate on everything, saying that the container won’t hold up, it will take minimum 8 months to pup, my soil will rot the cactus. Everything seems to be going great! It’s only been watered once in the 62 days it’s been in the soil.

Pretty happy I’m excited to see if any more pups. Someone in the last post mentioned something about pupping cream or powder that can cause it more likely to bud out. Might look into that.

Just figured I would post a little update since I haven’t seen the log in roughly a month and was happy to see it grew an appendage 😀

Brown sugar doesn’t count but apple juice and chick fil a honey packets is a go 🫡

I think this should work, no? I filled this box w plastic wrap and put in cactus soil. I then made a cactus shape divot in the dirt.

I then sprinkled a tiny amount of rooting powder in the trench and a light dusting on the bottom of the cactus. I then put about halfway in dirt, misted it like 4 times w water and now we wait.

I’m not too familiar with the log method or how it works or where the pups come up…. But I like to just try stuff to see if it works.

If anybody has suggestions or comments on what I could’ve done better or worse, and how the pup situation works (on both ends? the whole length of the cactus? Idk)

Prolly will need bigger pot if it goes off

So a week or two ago I made a post about how I added at most a couple tablespooons of brown sugar. But THIS PASSES?!?!?

Lmfao I posted my picture with clearly fermenting mead and I got muted from the subreddit because I put a couple scoops of brown sugar in it… wtf??? If you are homebrewing come here where all is welcome baby

About 5.5 gallons here im thinking about potentially making a still or buying a cheap one and make some hard alcohol! That would be so cool!

One ticket to Rockcrest Cir plz

I got this from a random out of state phone number with just this image. I saw this when I opened it and I kind of got scared cuz I was recently in Milwaukee. But not on April 20th. I tried to scan the QR code but it wouldn’t find it.

After really thinking about it and looking at it (and the toll fees lolol), and actually taking the citation # and checking online there was no record. There is also not a single piece of identifying information to my car or me, they sent this to me less than 24 hours before my court date. It’s obviously a scam but it did take me a little bit to make sure it wasn’t, this is a step up from just text messages. If it scared me for a second someone is definitely going to send money.

Now I get this once a day.

Edit: the only reason this spooked me a little bit was I was in Milwaukee about a month ago to see a show and I thought maybe it was a parking ticket? But obviously the more you look and think about it the stupider it gets lol
