How do banks actually detect money laundering in the real world?

I know banks have AML (Anti-Money Laundering) systems and regulations, but I've always wondered how suspicious transactions are identified in practice.

What are the biggest red flags, and how much is automated versus reviewed by people?

What's the biggest career mistake you made in your 20s that you wish someone had warned you about?

What's the one career mistake that cost you the most—time, money, opportunities, or peace of mind?

It could be:

Choosing the wrong degree

Staying too long at a bad job

Switching careers too late

Ignoring networking

Chasing salary over learning

Not taking risks when you should have

If you could go back and give your younger self one piece of career advice, what would it be?

If humanity received a message from another intelligent civilization today, what do you think it would say?

Imagine that tomorrow scientists confirm a genuine message from another intelligent civilization.

What do you think the first message would be?

A warning?

A greeting?

Scientific knowledge?

Instructions?

Or something completely unexpected?

I'd love to hear your theories.

What is one scientific fact that completely changed the way you see the universe?

I'll start.

Every atom in your body was forged inside stars that lived and died billions of years ago.

In a very real sense, we're all made of stardust.

What's the one scientific fact that permanently changed your perspective on the universe?

What would you ask, and why?

Let's see which question history owes us the most.

If humanity disappeared tomorrow, what would an alien civilization misunderstand the most about us?

Imagine an advanced civilization discovers Earth 10,000 years from now.

What object, place, or invention would they completely misinterpret and why?

Be creative. Serious and funny answers are both welcome.

Started NPS Vatsalya for my daughter — any folks tried it?

The process itself was manageable, but a few things weren't fully clear to me — like how annual contributions are tracked, and how the withdrawal rules work once the child reaches a certain age.

Has anyone else from Odisha tried this? How was your experience — was the local branch process smooth for you? Also curious if it's better compared to other savings options like Sukanya Samriddhi.

Genuinely trying to figure out which path makes most sense long-term for our kids
