Relationships with isfps

Has anyone had any close platonic relationships with isfps, romantic relations or married to one?

How has the dynamic been between you, what did you like and dislike about being together, in which ways did you help one another, meet, and how do enneagram types connect?

I have known of intjs, infps and esfjs married to isfps but i’d like to know more about other types as well as these and more specifically how it is in terms of fulfilment and mutual understanding/growth.

Isfp’s in relationships

Hi everyone,

I was wondering what types have you had the best and worst romantic or platonic relationships with and why?

Was wondering if this could connect to some intertype theories..

Learning your mbti affected your mental health?

After we learn about the cognitive functions within our type and become accustomed to the mbti/ socionics theory world, we can find that we have internalised certain positive or negative aspects of our type which then impacts our mental heath.

Ideally, types should be neutral and facilitate growth however there is an implicit ranking of types by value e.g intelligence is most valued in society followed by poetics/creativity/social smoothness.

I’ve read of infjs that unconsciously internalise negative comments from the criticisms that glorify this type. Especially, I would say much of the premature disrespect is directed towards the sensors, though it exists in forma for every type.

In a utopian, could you imagine an implicit ranking not being present, how would it look like?

Has learning your type and being involved in community spaces affected your mental health?

Isfps~infjs~intps

It is quite common after looking into socionics to recognise a few patterns.

For instance infjs can often present as isfps in a base state (fi-ni) and having difficulty to communicate their ni like isfps, they may also mimic having fi with their fe and being introverted. It is often the case that due to valued ti, they also unconsciously dislike their difficulty of articulation and may dislike those qualities especially in the isfp (who struggle more so with this than istps).

Isfps often also mistype aspirationally as infjs due to fi-ni making up their core typological identity. Similarly, infjs often may mistype or esteem themselves to intp due to (ni-ti). Unconsciously, I have often observed that infjs look up to intps for their intellectual communication ease and sweet fe inferior (at least initially).

Both pairs are examples of beneficiary/ benefactor pairs within socionics.

There are certain similarities between isfps and intps due to being ixxp behind the scenes interaction style and also by having opposite functions they can sometimes find a reciprocal agreement.

My question is to infj, how is your relationship to both these types is it concordant with benefit relations or has it made you realise anything about yourself?

I’d be open to hearing experiences platonically or romantically or personal reflection. :D

Isfp 9w1 vs 4w5/3

Is any isfps either a core 9 or 4 enneagram - which type specifically ? I would also be interested in hearing the experiences of isfp type 6s :)

Example: isfp 4w3 sp/sx/so

How did you deduce and detangle the difference with the instinctual variants and core fears to avoid these common mistypes?

For example 9 sp(isolating for material conforts) can be confused with 4sp(tenacity), 9so can be confused with another 4 is…

Socionics ≠ Mbti?

Hi everyone,

I have heard that mbti types can’t always be translated into socionics types.

Is this true, even if your mbti type was predicated on cognitive function knowledge?

Hypothetical example:

does an infj have to be iei instead of ili for instance if their tertiary function is more developed?

( this is a chart that seems to show loose conversions.)

Detecting Lies intuitively

Dear infjs,

I have known some friends who have said that they can tell immediately when someone is lying to them based on certain factors.

I wanted to know if this is a common experience for infjs and if I could get some examples about the nuances of a similar situation anyone has experienced ( or hypothetical) where they knew someone was lying/ trying to be deceptive.

Ne vs Ni imagination

In storytelling and personal life, how would these two functions differ in creating a scenario mentally ?

For example, if a high ni user compared to a high be user had a crush on someone how might their imagination/intuitive functions think about this differently?

I’d hypothesise that ni would narrow into one path/ interpretation and carve out that road further and further.

Ne descriptions/ imaginations would be more scattered in focus..

What else, I’d like to hear anyones perspective, corrections or experiences.. 😊

For anyone who has thought about this i’d like to get some more perspectives about a question that doesn’t get as much airtime as it deserves - perhaps better suited to the intjs here..

Much discourse about the "Ni-Fi loop" focuses on the struggle and how to manage it. But I'm curious about the constructive, value-forming, and emotional comprehension side of the relationship between Ni and Fi. How do you experience your Ni and Fi working together in a healthy, positive way ? Perhaps it could help to contrast to the way in which delta types (nfps and stjs) relate to their Fi..

How are you with verbally expressing your emotions?

I am seeking to understand other people’s experiences better or if my ways could be improved.
————-
Some snippets of my own experiences/ estimations with fi-ni:

(Does any of this resonate or could anyone add their own insights?)

* When an emotion is really strong I can find myself disconnected (particularly from the noise around me) and into my imagination. Although, I think ni imagination does differ somehow to ne, would need to think on this..

* This can also happen/ be triggered for me when replaying a resounding interaction or conversation from the past.. I would replay something i said or what was said to me, word for word to serve towards the purpose of understand what i am feeling, if it is justified and how to evaluate the situation the “ right, best way”..

Do intjs experience this replay? I would hypothesise they can resolve it faster than me due to higher te.. i wonder how the emotional understanding would work though..

* As for how it feels to me when I am going against something i feel hastily, or due to pressure - it could be described like a blob monster ( thinking of spirited away’s no-face too) that can split and leave residue behind, it could feel like i am breaking a sense of wholeness or the image of gathering all the fallen coins from the floor back into a purse, pops up to.

* I can be bound within multiple analysis of these repeatedly, i could mull over a song/film/book something on repeat many many times the same one for hours and weeks and it feels like I am reaching towards understanding smth though I can’t always verbally express what I got from all that time..

* Articulating my emotions somehow intrinsically feels that it should be done privately and cautiously so I somewhat repress this. E.g there was a situation recently walking home at night with people, the infp communicated exactly what I was thinking about how the moon related to the conversation we were having earlier. I thought, perhaps that is why they appear much more open in their idealism compared to me.. (I’ve observed this repeatedly with her.)

(this question was inspired by me returning to quite a bit of mitski new album recently 😂)

Look forward to hearing thoughts! Actually, it could be nice to hear nfps and stjs perspectives as well on differences if they have any..
