I love seeing all the work that goes into these pieces reflected in the stitches even if the backs are a bit more muted.

Finished a second bead embroidered lily and really got to explore a full range of beautiful colors on this one!
I posted one of my pieces in a comment and it seems like there's interest in bead embroidery so I thought I'd share some more pieces! These are fanart of some of my favorite musicians/artists created in the past two years: Chappell Roan, Lady Gaga, and Lucy Dacus.
These pieces are made from individually stitched-down glass beads. I sketch out guidelines and then work from my reference image to match the colors and flow of the beads as best as I can.
In case the reference is unfamiliar, this is from an I Think You Should Leave sketch and the conceit is that there is a store called Dan Flashes where the pricing model is based on the complexity of the overlapping designs.
Made this as a commission! I stitch down each bead and then finish with a single-strand chainstitch border.
I bead embroidered Lucy Dacus from her Forever is a Feeling album cover. I used primarily 11/0 delica beads and finished with a chainstitch border.
I redacted the name on the front, but wanted to share my favorite backside ever! Something about the eyes and smile is just so sweet to me. 👶🏻💜
I know my backside is a little more plain due to the medium, but I still enjoy seeing the little pathways I make with my beads, as well as evidence of me redoing sections (can you tell where I had the most difficulty?).

My bead embroidery of Lucy Dacus’s album art is finished! I used primarily 11/0 Miyuki delicas and stitched and finished it in a 8” x 5” oval hoop.
I’ve been having a blast with my bead embroidery inspired by Heated Rivalry!
These are primarily created with size 11 delica beads which lends the mosaic effect to the portraits of Connor Storrie and the in-progress Hudson Williams.
On the hockey jersey piece, I worked in a modified brick stitch to keep the lines neat and finished with a chain-stitch border.

This took me just over a year on and off and used close to 20 thousand beads to create my version of Toulmouche's painting.
