The real trolley problem.
In case you cannot read my hand writing. Would you sacrifice yourself to save 5 strangers? If you will not die to save 5 strangers, then you cannot ask anyone else to die to save 5 strangers either.

My dad told me this story about how the 3/5ths clause got into the U.S. constitution. The delegates of the slave states went to the delegates of the free states, said "Let us count our slaves towards the number of representatives our white people get in Congress, and we will sell you our war bonds at 10 cents on the dollar, and honor those bonds at 100 cents on the dollar." The free state delegates said "Make it 3/5ths of your slaves, and you have a deal." Is any of that true? is that anywhere in any primary source from the convention that drafted the constitution?
If you take Street Smart and save everyone in the Shaw mine, the strike is in full force. But, why? In that timeline, nobody got hurt. When Alexis and Becka get trapped in the mine, the miners strike because they calculate that that is when they have maximum leverage because they think that Tabitha will give them more than she would have given them otherwise to stop the two trapped girls from becoming a national news story and making her a Pariah. If you save Alexis and Becka but Rosalina loses her foot, the strike is only at partial strength because people think that Tabitha is a hero for saving Alexis and Becka. So if you save everyone without anyone getting hurt, the miners should calculate that they have no leverage and either not strike, or only a minority should strike. So why does everyone join the strike when no one gets hurt or trapped in the Shaw Mine shaft?
It used to be I could spend time with Tabitha at every opportunity and if she admitted to Pearlanne being a monster and being glad that I was here, it meant that she wouldn't let me sacrifice years of my life to Charlie. But now she lets me do it every time. Is this because I have not played the game in a long time and forgot something important? Did the developers remove that feature on purpose for greater player agency? Can anyone else get Tabby to sacrifice her youth when you try to sacrifice your own since Episode 5 dropped?
If you do put your money where your mouth is, I will do my part and make us some great chicken Parmesan.
