Helldivers 2 Budget Builds
I have spent the last two weeks working on this spreadsheet, but I think I'm finally done and ready to share it.
This spreadsheet's purpose is to give new helldivers effective builds they can use on Super Helldive when they are limited to just Helldivers Mobilize and one other Warbond. There are a lot of builds out there that talk about using equipment from all kinds of different warbonds, but I wanted to make sure players who don't have everything unlocked and don't have the money to afford every warbond can still find use from each individual warbond.

Decided to turn my freighter into a mobile hospital & research center.
Freighter Interior Build Question
I've been working on gathering a ton of resources to really flesh out the interior of my freighter and make it a more spacious location that isn't just a few cramped rooms. I want it to feel like it has actual breathing room.
With my current design, I keep running into invisible walls in hallways. Eventually I can get through them if I keep running back and forth enough, but they're always in the same spots, and I'd like to reduce or eliminate these issues if I can.
For those of you who have been playing a while and have fleshed out your freighters, is there a workaround to this I can consider?
Why I Love Quicksilver Missions
I don't have any friends who play the game with me, so I'm usually completely on my own when playing No Man's Sky.
When I go to these Quicksilver Missions, there are always players in the system, and they usually bring their frigates with them.
It makes for some really cool visuals, and I wanted to capture this.
Personally, I think it would be nice to see more shiny vehicle color options.
A lot of the camo options in vehicle customization are just... matte colors. The camouflage options and such are interesting and all, but I wish I had more shiny options.
I like the blue and shiny gold that comes from the Force of Law pack, but there are times I wish I had something more centered to the Helldiver theme, with maybe black or grey with a shinier gold instead of matte yellow.
AngelLu-V3 & Ragu
Don't have video footage because it's hard on my PC.
During a squid mission on Basquine VIII (D10), I used my FRV to get these two players out of a situation where they were overwhelmed by squid reinforcements.
When we reached extraction, there was nothing happening, so these players decided to gun myself and player 3 down.
At first I thought maybe it was just them being bored and did it for that reason, but when the pelican landed, Angel deliberately ran after me and gunned me down. I was watching him the whole time and sure enough, he and Ragu were targeting myself and player 3.
Gentle reminder: current MO is perfect for weapon leveling
If you're someone who wants to level your weapons, and there are some you hate that you just want to be done with, the current MO is perfect for easily and quickly leveling weapons.
Mindless Masses, last time I played, don't have anything more challenging than a Harvester, and it's typically just a bunch of Voteless with a handful of overseers and fleshmobs here and there. The objectives are easy to complete, the side objectives are a breeze, and most players know what they're doing and can treat each mission like a blitz mission for maximum experience. (You get more XP when a mission has more time remaining).
The two planets involved in the current major order both have the Mindless Masses modifier, so now is a perfect time to get some of the more tedious weapons out of the way.
Every time I go into a match against these guys (D10), I just can't get any breathing room. I eliminate one group of enemies, and then instantly there are double the amount right on top of me.
Last match, I finished killing the last over the Obtruders that were chasing me and I got out of the town. Had a single jet pack Overseer spot me, then after eliminating him, I turned around and there were 7 Overseers and 10 Obtruders right behind me.
I just... I can't get any time to breathe, to think, to call down equipment, to do anything. They are everywhere constantly.
What are some loadouts and equipment you guys use to fight these guys? Because I am completely overwhelmed.
Interestingly, if you wait for the screen to go to 0, it will show the Eagle Storm is active for 171,000 hours.
Which is 7125 days.
Which is 19.25 years.
So that was horrifying.
I'm new to the game. My friends encouraged me to get it because it's where they all went after they got bored of FFXIV, which is where I met all of them.
But my experience with the new player experience has been... directionless. I was pushed towards doing the Dragon Isles content, but not knowing who the characters are or what's happening is really hurting my ability to immerse myself into the game.
Is there a story order I should be playing in where I can get to know the different characters who are involved? And are there activities I can do outside of dungeons, raids and PvP where I can actually learn about the world and enjoy myself?
I tried exploring, but I kept coming across areas that looked important or dangerous, but I didn't understand why or care.
I'd like some direction so I have a better idea of what I can do, where I can go, and how I can enjoy my time in the game.
So... what are some suggestions you can offer? How can I improve my new player experience?
On the Automaton Front, the Automatons have Scout Striders that appear as early as Medium difficulty, with light pen legs and an exposed pilot who can easily be shot to eliminate the threat.
On Impossible and above, the Scout Strider is replaced with the Reinforced Strider, which is a completely enclosed variant with rockets on the sides, but still sporting the light pen legs, light pen missile racks, and med pen lower body under the armored cockpit.
Why are we making it where the Hive Guard only has a single variant that is available across all difficulties?
Some players like the new AP4 version, while others would prefer to do without it.
So... why not include both?
Keep the Hive Guard with medium armor penetration on difficulties between Easy (currently earliest difficulty it spawns) and Rank 7, but from Impossible and up, create a new Hive Guard variant that has the AP4 armor and can't be as easily killed.
