Plush Adventures Continue!

Completely forgot to share the pictures I took of Bolt and Mittens at Netflix House a couple weeks back, and when I took Bolt to see Supergirl last weekend! There’s tons more photos of the Netflix House adventure posted on Bolt’s instagram (wylde.bolt.photography) for those interested!

Also Supergirl was a 10/10

How to Calculate Attack Modifiers

EDIT: We will not be doing this in an actual campaign. This is just a silly project that the two of us are working on together with our characters. We have actual characters in development for a PCs in a premade campaign.

Hello! My best friend and I are currently trying to develop our own campaign, and I’m having trouble trying to calculate attack modifiers for our characters.

I know, trying to create a homebrew campaign from scratch as our very first campaign with little to no experience actually playing D&D is probably not a good start, but we’ve been having fun so far, especially since it’s just us two playing through Discord.

The character I’m currently working on as far as calculating attack modifiers is his level 3 Samurai Fighter, who also has experience as a Circle of Sea Druid. We’ve been kind of picking and choosing what kind of spells his character would be able to use. His character is not proefficient in all of the Druid spells, but he has excelled in the Control Water ones (he’s an aquatic species that I developed back in 2021, and my best friend is possibly a marine biologist in another life, so he loves anything ocean-related).

The thing we’re having issues with are attack modifiers, and the range certain spells have. Control Water has four different kinds of spell attacks (Flood Part Water, Redirect Flow, and Whirlpool), and I’ve been able to figure out the range for Flood and Whirlpool, but not the rest I think the tanks also depend on the characters stats, so I’ve pasted them here as well (I don’t have official character sheets drawn out for our little guys yet, and we’re trying to calculate everything beforehand).

To veteran players, it definitely looks like we’re biting on more than we can chew, but we’ce been avid worldbuilders for ten years or so, and it’s been incredibly fun coming up with ideas for this campaign— even if it looks incredibly complicated.

Sammy West
Subclass: Level 3 Samurai Fighter/ Level 2 Circle of Sea Druid

Strength: 8 (-1 mod)
Dexterity: 15 (+2 mod)
Constitution: 11

Wisdom: 15 (+2 mod)
Charisma: 14 (+2 mod)

Issues with 1099-G Form

Hello. I had to file an extension on my taxes because I never received my 1099-G form in the mail. I called the IRS after filing the extension and they told me that it will not be sent out until after Memorial Day. I believe it typically take 7 to 10 business days for a tax document to be delivered, but it’s going on past that.

I just got off the phone with the IRS, and I was given the message that they could not answer my call at this time and I had to call back again the next day due to the high volume of traffic with the question I had (“When can I expect my 1099–G?”)

I tried logging into the Texas workforce committee to view my tax info, but I kept getting logged out. Has anyone else had this issue before? This is my first time ever having to deal with a 1099-G, and if I had known it was going to be such a headache to file my taxes, I would not have filed for unemployment last year.

Surprising Find and More Adventures!

I went into Half Priced Books to sell a few things, and I walked out of there with the Blu-ray copy of Bolt! I was not expecting to find that in there, so I was extremely happy. I lost my copy when I moved out of my mom‘s house about four years ago, and I’m so excited to have it in my collection again!

Experience as a Cast Member?

Hello, I just thought of this idea on a whim that I mentioned to my best friend yesterday, but I wanted to consult a subreddit with people who have a little bit more experience in what to look for if I were to find a job as a cast member. I’m looking at Walt Disney World specifically because it’s closer to my dad, and he has family that live in Florida who he visits frequently.

Currently, I live and work in Texas with my dog as an inventory control specialist, but I was curious to know what the experience of being a cast member is like? I know there’s multiple different positions throughout the parks, but I’m mainly interested in restaurant/barista positions or retail since I have expertise in both of those industries (been a hostess/server for three years, and a barista for one).

This idea isn’t set in stone yet, but I’d love to hear anyone’s experiences, and if this is a good idea or not.

More Bolt Adventures!

Very low key adventure I took Bolt on yesterday before and after work! He’s got good taste in reading material.

Nina Tucker Fanart

I just finished the first season of FMA: Brotherhood on Monday, and episode 4 destroyed me so much, I had to draw poor, sweet Nina. Poor thing didn’t deserve this fate, she just wanted to play with her dad.

Fanfiction/Fan Works and Patreon

I’ve been on-and-off Patreon for almost five or six years now, and my page is still somewhat under construction. I’ve seen a bunch of discourse on what is and isn’t allowed on there, so I’d just figure I’d come here and ask this question.

I’ve been posting a mix of fanart and original work on my Patreon page since I first made one, tagging everything accordingly with a “Fanart” tag or “OC Content” (sometimes both). I typically also post snippet of stories I’m writing, which is why I’m making this post.

What is Patreon’s stand on posting human-written fanfiction? I’ve done “Six Sentence Sundays” on my Patreon page before where I shared snippets of my writing, but I wasn’t sure if a full fanfic would be allowed or not.

Is This AI?

For context, I have AI suppressed on DeviantART, but I keep seeing this user’s stuff when I’m looking up Bolt fanart in particular. The picture was posted by the user Almendare. I can see some inconsistencies in Bolt’s lightning mark, but I’m unsure if it’s due to a 3d model they designed or not. In other pictures they’ve posted, I believe there’s evidence of ai usage, but it’s kinda difficult for me to tell with a select few of their Bolt/3D-related stuff, including this one.
