How to stay up-to-date on major matches?

I live in the northeast and have been shooting seriously for ~18 months now. Recently hit M in LO and CO and have a renewed interest in shooting major matches. This year, I was late to every one. I was able to sneak into one major but basically nothing else. In 2027, I really want to shoot a few majors and have my training revolve around that.

My problem is I have no idea how to figure out details on these matches until it's too late. Where are yall keeping up to date on majors throughout the year? Is it just constantly checking until a registration date is posted? Is there a website? If it's a function on PractiScore, can you drop the intel?

I feel like I'm missing something obvious but don't know what.

26-04 Uprange? Seriously

Got the opportunity to shoot two of the provisional classifiers from the 26 series this weekend in my 7th USPSA match:

26-04 Uprange? Seriously. Classification TBD. 11.12 seconds. 11A 1D 1 Procedural. 4.1367 HF, percentage TBD. Great example of my undeveloped mental game as I did not step into the shooting area to engage my first three targets, nor did I hit the two open targets while moving uprange like intended. Pretty pleased with the hits on paper aside from the one delta on T1 at the end of the stage. Would like to see this one again and actually stick to the plan as well as follow the rules.

EDIT: RO is getting a ton of shit for my post and I feel awful about it. Was not my intention for him to draw criticism in posting this. He was a great RO on a long, humid, hot day. Gave great advice and recommendations to new morons like me all while pasting, timing, scoring, etc. I feel bad he’s getting the attention he is in this post especially when there’s plenty of other things to drag like my balding, feminine legs, and general shooting ability.
