Ed's car payment must be due

This flight was $800 last week. AA is $1,000 for a direct flight from LGA.

Was about to get the Reserve card...

I have the Delta Gold Amex. I fly 3-4 times a year, mostly from LGA-TYS. I figured that the companion certificate alone would make up the difference ($500) between the cards, and lounge access would be the tiebreaker.

I have been tracking my next trip. Delta Main $916 C+ $1,007 AA MC $521 AA FC $643.

Same route, same days, all flights within an hour of each other.

Delta RJ vs AA E175

I am thinking of cancelling my gold card and getting the AA card equivalent.

Giving notice options for key employee.

I (67M) am employed at a small ($20M) manufacturing company. I am a key employee responsible for the production side of the business. There is no one in the company capable of taking over my duties. My skill set is hard to replace.

I am planning on retiring sometime in the next 12 months. I will have seven or eight weeks of vacation banked by then.

I want to give enough notice to allow them time to find a replacement. I do not want them to drag it out. I also don't want them to monkey around with the vacation time.

I am thinking about giving two weeks' notice with an offer to work on a 1099 for 150% of my normal weekly salary. I want to incentivise them to keep it as short as possible.

Has anyone been in this situation, and how did you handle it?

Hole in tailgate

So…
I am unloading some shooting gear from my truck. A bag of ammunition dumps on the rear of the bed and the space between the bed and tailgate.
No big deal, right?
Ford decided to put a large hole for a wire in the bottom of the tailgate. Now I have a dozen rounds of 9 mm rattling around when I open or close it.

How do I get the ammo out and does anyone make a blocking plate?
