Seated tickets etiquette for standing up - your experiences?

Maybe I lucked out, but everyone in my section was standing up for basically every song, it was awesome and really great energy, lots of headbangers. My friend in a different section however got yelled at by someone for obstructing their view by standing up. What is the done thing?

Colossus crossed the rainbow bridge today at 5 years and 3 months. He was a very good boy ❤️

I’m heartbroken and miss him so much already. He had a very aggressive bone cancer and his mobility just totally disappeared in the last few days and he looked so uncomfortable. But he was a real champion, he was in excellent spirits up until the end. He was a really good boy ❤️ wanted to share some of my favourite pictures.

Weight loss stories after stopping mirtazipine - give me some hope please?

I was prescribed 30mg during an acute MH crisis and at the time it was an absolute godsend, I have a lot to thank this medication for. In recent times, however, I’ve been feeling mentally much better and the fogginess got worse, so I’ve been slowly tapering off - did 1 month on 15mg, currently in the middle of 1 month x 7.5mg, then alternating then to 0.

The weight gain has been hard to cope with and I’ve been really blaming myself a lot for it. I haven’t weighed myself since I noticed I gained weight. I used to have anorexia many years ago, so it hits me kinda hard. My estimate is I gained 10kg (170cm female), I went up 1 dress size roughly.

I guess I’m looking for some kind of reassurance that the weight gain isn’t my fault, as I could swear I haven’t eaten that much - if anything I’ve even exercising more than ever for months - but I feel so horrible. I guess I was also hoping to lose weight quickly as soon as I reduced the dose, but no luck. Once I reduce to 0, will it be easier then?

Thanks everyone. If anyone is curious I’ve had a really nice time coming off it too, I feel better than ever. I felt a bit fluey in the first few days after going to 15 from 30, but that was it so far.

Niche problem: any recommendations for investing by dual UK-Russian citizens in 2026?

Hi everyone, hope this is allowed. I’ve seen the topic raised here previously but not in the last 3 years, so wanted to ask if there have been any updates in people’s experiences.

I am a dual UK-Russian citizen. I’ve lived in the UK all my life, and giving up the Russian citizenship is a highly long and complex process that for many reasons is not possible.

After having a very negative experience with Interactive Investor, who placed a bunch of restrictions on my account making it impossible, essentially, to have a pension unless it’s invested in a few individual stocks, I am looking for alternative platforms that will allow me to invest low/mid 6-figures.

From previous threads, I understand Vanguard, Fidelity, and AJ Bell also want nothing to do with UK citizens in my position. HL were great when I called them up, so I’ve considered joining there, but the fees are quite high.

Does anyone have any other suggestions? From personal experience especially.

Thank you!

Feeling overwhelmed by options: a first tempo/half/marathon shoe as a companion to Vomero Plus?

I’ve been running for almost a year in the Vomero Plus, starting from almost 0 (couch to 5k) to running 10-12ks comfortably. Currently training for a HM and have a FM booked for April 2027 as I just love the training so much.

I love the Vomero Plus so much BUT at longer distances (5k+) I start to get stability issues. I don’t know if that’s just something to get used to.

I did the mistake of walking into a well reviewed running shoe shop, told them all of the above, did a gait analysis and walked out with a pair of Brooks Adrenaline GTS 25. To be fair they did feel great on the treadmill but actually running in them is horrific, they’re now a walking shoe.

I now feel super overwhelmed by all the options and guides online. I’ve tried Novablast 5 but they don’t quite have the bounce of the Vomero Plus, they reminded me too much of the Brooks. I tried 8k or so in a kind friend’s Saucony endorphin pro 5 and was wowed, but even in my usual running shoe size the toebox feels a bit tight (again, not sure if it’s something to get used to). Now I’m too nervous to commit to a size in case it doesn’t fit down the line.

What kind of shoe should I try as a companion to the Vomero Plus? I’m currently using that for all my runs, and I’d like to have 2 pairs ideally.

Other useful infos:
- budget: flexible
- foot width: regular

Thank you 🙏

I finished the workout well but found the paces too slow. How long until it gets updated? Shouldn’t it be automatic? Thank you 🙏
