Here’s a telescope solar filter frame that I designed and printed, which also has an integrated protection cover! Pics attached are the Aug 12 solar eclipse, and some solar photography from December 2025.

Here's the progress so far on the Box Mag Shell Fed Shotgun blaster I've been working on this summer! I'm still looking for a good name for the blaster, open to recommendations. The first prototype will be done very very soon. The magazines are also being improved with some help from Vested Clover.

Curly hair haircuts around the Portland area?

Hey folks! I've been looking for a place to get my curly (3A) hair cut. I need to find a place before the end of the month.

Pretty much all of the places I've found so far are either

  1. Too expensive (<$90 budget).
  2. Booked out past the end of the month.

Does anyone have some good places to recommend?

Multiple recommendations are welcome too, I'll check them all out. Thanks!

Photos from the marsh in Scarborough Maine. Shot on Panasonic G7 with Lumix 100-300mm. This was my first time trying out this lens, I’m happy with it!

I'm making good progress on my detachable box magazine Silly Shell shotgun blaster. The magazines are now compatible with using elastic for the follower, as well as springs still being an option if you prefer those. The same magazine works with both types :) I'm hoping to have a prototype in August.

Here's a WIP photo of my next blaster! This is a shotgun blaster that uses Silly Shells with detachable box magazines. Pump action in a layout similar to my Excalibur blaster, with magazines similar to the Battle Axe blaster. But the magazines are swappable for much faster reloading!

Hey folks! I'm gonna take a step back from moderating the subreddit :)

Hey folks!

I've been a moderator on r/Nerf since early 2020, originally brought on to improve the CSS of the OldReddit version of the subreddit, and to improve the look of the Redesign/New Reddit page as well.

That job morphed into me taking a much more active role in subreddit moderation, and over the years I've handled a ton of stuff to keep the subreddit alive and running smoothly! From setting up events, to handling communication between groups and the subreddit team, and helping to improve the ruleset of the subreddit (to be more aligned with what the majority of people want and understand). A lot of guiding the subreddit in a better and more modern direction regarding rules, etiquette, and dealing with Reddit in general. And my god, I swear... if you people saw the stuff that some people post on here that we have to remove... oooh boy. Keep foam out of your bodily orifices, please.

In 2025 I headed off to college to begin a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, which has taken up pretty much all of my time haha. So, now I've got school, blaster design work, friends, family, and life in general all vying for my free time.

I don't foresee finding the time to properly do work on subreddit moderation any time soon, so I'm going to step aside. The team can fill my spot with someone who has more free time to handle the various tasks I used to take care of :)

I'm not fully disappearing though! I'll still be posting here from time to time as I work on new blasters.

Thank you to everyone who made my time as a moderator of the subreddit a less stressful experience lol. I think that 6 years is a pretty good runtime. And I of course wish the mod team the best :) They're good folks. It takes some real effort and dedication to get through tens of thousands of posts with only 4 or 5 people. And the stuff we've seen, both good and bad, has been an experience to say the least!

Anyways, thanks everyone!
