YEG Movers still attempting to remove critical posts

Comment in the archived post speaks for itself. To the owner of YEG movers, as I've told you multiple times through your multiple accounts, the post does not break any rules in this subreddit, nor reddit terms of service.

Continued spamming of the moderator message log will result in this post being highlighted for a week, exposing the possible abuse of LMIA system by your company each time.

UPDATE: Sushi Restaurant in Edmonton, AB that hired 30 TFW's - including programmers, software engineers, senior managers, marketing professionals & more

3 Days ago u/Martin_J_Kaminski posted this thread about Tokyo Express in Edmonton, AB requesting an LMIA to hire a Software Developer. After some digging, it turns out they had hired 30 TFW's in the past few years for a wide variety of roles that didn't seem to make sense for a sushi restaurant.

As of today, the job advertisement has been removed from Job Bank while a more detailed assessment of the request is completed. This was as a direct result of using the "Report" function on Job Bank.

Anecdotally, to me it feels that a tide is slowly shifting on this issue, and mainstream public awareness is growing of just how corrupt this program is, and the levels to which it continues to be exploited.

A recent post I made about the increase in LMIA requests for Tim Hortons franchises since they issued a press release stating they were going to decrease their reliance on Temporary Foreign Workers was picked up and shared by a Burlington, ON city councilor candidate with a sizeable social media following. He states in his video that he has even received direct communication from Tim Hortons Head off Communications for criticisms he made in prior videos of Tim Hortons. Tim Hortons is watching.

Based on this, as well as ATIP requests obtained by incredible efforts of talented members of this sub, it's becoming clear that the information and investigations shared in this sub is having real tangible effects on informing members of the public on the deep problems with this program that they may have otherwise never been privy to.

Huge shout out to the mods, u/Martin_J_Kaminski, u/BariatricSurgeryGuy and the others who make great efforts to diligently maintain this sub free from unwanted and unwarranted bigotry, racism and other negative discourse unrelated to this issue, and keeping the sub to what the real issue is: fraud, corruption, and corporate exploitation. With more eyes on information shared in this sub, there will likely be more efforts to brigade and astroturf it.

This One Made Me Laugh - Juice Dudez, Ottawa ON - Restaurant Manager, $36-38/hr

Juice Dudez in Ottawa, ON claims that no qualified Canadian citizen is willing or able to apply for a Restaurant Manager role which advertises $36-$38 / hour. The threshold to apply for an LMIA to hire a Temporary Foreign Worker during periods of high local unemployment in Ontario is $36.92 / hour. SOURCE

Since 2023, Juice Dudez in Ottawa, ON has been approved for 12 LMIA permits to hire 12 Temporary Foreign Workers. SOURCE

Juice Dudez is owned and operated by Nasir Nasir, who came to Canada in 2017. Juice Dudez “Our Story”.

Ironically, on Juice Dudez “Careers” page, Nasir states that this job is "not for you if you’re just looking for a short-term job” - despite hiring 12 “temporary” foreign workers in less than 3 years, and currently applying for a 13th. Juice Dudez “Careers”

You really can't make this stuff up. Sometimes I think I've seen everything there is to see on this topic, and then I see something so hilariously stupid and opaquely fraudulent that I can't help but laugh.

Canadian PR about to take citizenship oath in 20 days, planning to move back to India permanently. Am I missing any downsides?

I’m looking for perspectives from people who were (or are) in a similar situation, especially those who became Canadian citizens and later moved back to India.

My situation:
- Indian citizen, Canadian PR
- Canadian citizenship oath is scheduled in a few weeks
Planning to move back to India next year
- I may continue working remotely for Canadian employers for some time, but long-term plans are uncertain
- My future wife will become a Canadian citizen regardless of what I do
- I own a condo in Canada which I might or might not keep as a rental depending on real estate market in Canada when I leave.
- spent months researching this decision. So far I’ve identified:

Pros of becoming Canadian:
- Canadian passport
- No PR residency obligation
- Ability to return to Canada at any point in life without immigration issues
- Easier international travel
- Future children may benefit depending on where we live (wife will have Canadian citizenship so this pro is kinda whatever)
- OCI allows me to live in India indefinitely

Cons I’ve found:
- Lose Indian voting rights
- Cannot buy or receive agricultural land by gift (can still inherit it)
- Some extra FEMA/banking paperwork as an OCI
- more paperwork for property and financial transactions
- government jobs/offices become unavailable (not relevant to me)

What I’m trying to figure out is whether there are practical issues that people only discover years later.

For example:
- Did becoming an OCI create unexpected headaches with inherited property?
- Any tax complications that weren’t obvious initially?
- Any banking or FEMA issues?
- Problems with family settlements, gifts, or estate planning?

Any regrets from giving up Indian citizenship? Or, conversely, are you glad you took Canadian citizenship even after moving back to India?

I’m looking for real-world legal, financial, administrative, or practical issues that I may have missed despite researching this extensively.

Even if it’s something as small as “I had to submit one extra document every time I did X,” I’d appreciate hearing it.

Thanks in advance!

The attitude of Canadian citizens that keeps us in this mess

Yesterday the mod of the largest Canadian job subreddit r/CanadaJobs made a post stating that any discussion of the LMIA/TFW program was forbidden and would result in a ban. You can see the mod’s post here:

https://www.reddit.com/r/CanadaJobs/s/EsCCjfs1bb

I made the following comment on the thread, and was promptly permanently banned from the subreddit:

“Quite literally one of the largest contributing factors to the current state of Canada’s job market - but you can’t talk about it on Canada’s largest job subreddit.

LOL. LMFAO.”

When I asked how that comment broke any of the sub’s rules (it didn’t) the mod blocked and muted me.

Need honest advice – WP expiring soon, feeling stuck 😞

Hey guys, I really need some honest advice because I feel completely stuck right now.

My current CRS score is 508 (CEC), and my work permit is expiring on July 14. My employer has already asked me to either resign or provide proof of authorization to continue working.

Right now, I’m trying to max out my CELPIP and hopefully reach 514. I’m really hoping that would be enough to get an ITA in the next draw.

I’m confused about what to do in the meantime:
Should I apply for a visitor record to stay in status?
Or go for a “dummy” work permit option?

I’m just scared of making the wrong move that could affect my PR chances later. My plan is to improve my score ASAP and hopefully get invited soon, but everything feels so uncertain.

Would really appreciate any advice or experiences from people who’ve been in a similar situation 🙏

Another absolutely insane one!!! Access Academy - Student Services Counsellor (Calgary, AB)

Access Academy - a private school fully accredited under Alberta Education - is asking for an LMIA permit to hire a Temporary Foreign Worker as a Student Services Counsellor.

https://www.jobbank.gc.ca/jobsearch/jobposting/49201502

This school claims it needs a Temporary Foreign Worker to advise, counsel and assist young Canadian students with their academics and future.

The advertised wage for this position is $38.56 / hour. The wage required to qualify for a "High-Wage" LMIA when "Low-Wage" LMIA permits are not issued during periods of high local unemployment is $36.00 / hour.

This one's wild!!! Post-Secondary Exam Invigilator - BITTS Atlantic Testing Services Inc.

BITTS Atlantic Testing Services ( https://bitts.ca/ ) has requested an LMIA to hire a Temporary Foreign Worker as an Exam Invigilator. BITTS Testing Services is a company which provides paper and computer-based testing services for an array of recognized and standardized examinations.

Think about that - they claim no Canadian is available to assess standardized examinations for Canadian Post-Secondary Institutions.

They need a temporary foreign worker to determine if Canadians are qualified to attend Canadian Post-Secondary Institutions.

https://www.jobbank.gc.ca/jobsearch/jobposting/49478048

The advertised wage range is up to $30.50/hour. The wage necessary to qualify for a "High-Wage" LMIA in Nova Scotia when "Low-Wage" LMIA permits are not issued due to high rates of local unemployment is $30.00/hour.

It's interesting to note that they have 2 active postings on Indeed for the same job title in both Calgary and Guelph. Both postings advertise $18-23/hour. It's odd how the same job in Halifax is advertising more than a 50% higher wage than Calgary or Guelph, when the High-Wage LMIA cutoff in Nova Scotia also just so happens to be $30.00/hour.

RE-POST: Fake Shell Companies in Saskatoon

I am re-posting a post I had made in the earlier subreddit, since the earlier subreddit has now been banned and the post inaccessible.

-----------------------

Like countless others, I’ve grown disheartened and disillusioned with the hiring process in Saskatoon and Canada as a whole. Some of you may have seen more attention around job postings on JobBank offering seemingly great wages, yet applying for LMIA’s due to no suitable local candidates. This post is simply meant to expose what appear to be obvious scams in Saskatoon, so please don't let it devolve into derogatory racial or immigration issues. This is about the exploitation of both immigrants and the Canadian working class.

Looking at Saskatoon on lmiamap.org, which is a webmap that takes data from JobBank showing businesses that have been approved for LMIA permits, you can see business that have been granted LMIA’s to hire temporary foreign workers. A permit given "only if no suitable Canadian citizen or permanent resident is available* *to fill the position. The process is designed to ensure that Canadian workers are considered first for available jobs."

For example, in 2024 Road Rex Trucking Inc. was granted 5 LMIA permits. When you search Road Rex Trucking Inc., their company address is 2002 Quebec Ave, which is a small generic office building home to the likes of the famous MLM “World Financial Group”. Oddly enough, from one angle on Google Street View the building is blurred, which means someone has specifically reached out to Google and requested it be blurred for privacy.

When you look at their website, https://roadrextrucking.com/team-2/ , their “Team” has very generic, obviously stock photos with names that, on the surface, don’t seem to match.

Oddly, the website makes no mention of the sole registered director of Road Rex Trucking Inc, Jaspreet Singh Dhaliwal. There is only one result for that name in Saskatoon, and here is his Facebook account, flexing in front of fancy cars and on vacations. Some of his pictures appear to match the buildings in the Saskatoon neighborhood of Road Rex Trucking Inc's corporate registered address.

When you Google the name of their founder, Alaxis. D. Dowson, there’s dozens of websites with the exact same template as Road Rex Trucking Inc, with the same layout and “team members”, but for different businesses like electronics, solar panels etc., and listed in all sorts of locations from Edmonton to Dubai.

https://insolog.com/team/

https://thetrinitylogistics.com/team/

https://threewayelectrical.com/our-team/

https://newhorizonferry.com/team/

https://greenlinkenergy.co.uk/team/

https://maingateshipping.com/team/

https://seakeepers.co/team/

https://bay6logistics.nl/team/

https://dhlsservices.com/team/

And many, many more. Google "Alaxis D. Dowson" yourself and see.

Is this Alaxis. D. Dowson really such an empire of industry that he’s founded dozens of successful companies in all kinds of industries all across the world?

Well, you can even find what seem to be placeholder or incomplete websites using the same template. For example, this one here for International Logistics Company, (*website has been taken down*) again founded by Alaxis. D. Dowson. It lists a company location in Saskatoon, Canada - but the address is in San Francisco, and the contact information hasn't been changed from support@example.com. Is it possible this huge collection of fake websites are an inventory that are made to be bought and sold to companies that want to appear legitimate?

Looking back on lmiamap.org, there’s several businesses that have been granted a ton of LMIA permits with a similar name format of  “blank” Transport:

Sam Transport Services – 4 LMIA permits since 2024.

Chakkar Express LTD. – 16 LMIA permits since 2023, with 12 in 2025 alone.

Canways Transport Company – 17 LMIA permits since 2022, with 11 in 2024 alone.

How can you find these companies? Well, every single one of these companies’ address is listed as 2002 Quebec Ave. How can there be so many trucking businesses with the same address in a small office building, and with no other visible physical presence in Saskatoon?

What's also located at 2002 Quebec Ave? Next Move Immigration Consultancy, specializing in work permits and visas, operated by Ravi Saini.

Also at 2002 Quebec Ave is SK One Point Accounting - where Syed Muhammad Kazmi works as a Business Advisor, offering "expert advice on business strategies and immigration matters."

When you Google, for example, Chakkar Express LTD., one of the first results is a TikTok channel explicitly advertising LMIA opportunities in Canada (TikTok post has since been removed, and Chakkar Express search results TikTok page is showing this - "Clarification on Misleading Videos About Our Company. Get the truth about the misleading videos regarding our company". Previously, Chakkar Express had posted TikTok videos advertising LMIA jobs in their company).

When you search many of these companies, many of the results are from CanadaCareerSite.com, an online marketplace which openly advertises LMIA opportunities to foreign workers. When you look to apply to these companies on that website, their contact information can often be traced back to large immigration consultant firms overseas.

For example, here’s Chakkar Express LTD.’s profile on CanadaCareerSite, which currently has 13 advertisements for LMIA jobs, from truck drivers to admin and payroll workers.

Here is a current job posting for Chakkar Express LTD. on JobBank, and they have requested an LMIA. Oddly enough, the advertised wage is $33.60/hr, which just happens to be the exact wage necessary to obtain an LMIA in Saskatchewan under the "High-Wage" stream, when "Low-Wage" permits are not approved due to high local unemployment.

As has been previously reported, many of these advertisements aim to illegally sell LMIA permits to foreign workers, for upwards of $50,000 each as an entry fee into the country. Often an employer and immigration consultant collude together to collect these fees. Take Jeanett Moskito for example, who has been charged with 35 labour violations for this activity, but continues to operate freely. Is it possible there might be similar activity explaining the numerous connections to 2002 Quebec Ave?

Another Saskatoon trucking company, Divine Roadline Ltd., has been approved for 20 LMIA permits since 2023, and they have also been awarded a $15,000 government grant to develop a digital adoption plan under Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada. Even if this company is legit - which it doesn't appear to be , as they don't have a website, their company name is misspelled on Google Maps, and their reviews mostly appear to be fake, all with names of a certain origin - how are thousands of dollars of taxpayer money being awarded to companies that have hired 20 foreign workers in 2 years? What percentage of their hires is that 20? Based on their company presence, it looks like they probably don't even have 20 employees in total.

Well, it turns out Divine Roadline Ltd. as of 2024 is dissolved and no longer operating. What happens to that to that $15,000 business development grant obtained just the year prior? Do they have to pay that back? What happens to the 20 foreign workers that came the year prior? Someone should ask the registered owner, Priyanka Bakshi.

Oh, wait a minute - Priyanka Bakshi is also listed as a registered owner of Bird Logistics Ltd., another trucking company based on Saskatoon. Bird Logistics Ltd. was approved for 5 LMIA permits in 2024. Where can you find Bird Logistics Ltd.? You guessed it - 2002 Quebec Ave. As of 2024, Bird Logistics Ltd. is also dissolved.

So in that one example alone, the same individual operated two different trucking companies out of the same office building as several other trucking companies, was issued 25 LMIA's in just 1 year alone, and was awarded a $15,000 taxpayer funded government grant to develop his business. The next year, both companies were dissolved.

Is this the scheme? Register companies, pay for fake websites to appear authentic, and set up the bare bones for a company to appear legitimate. Claim you can't find workers - knowing full well the business, even if it has trucks and operates, is not profitable and just a front for the real business - marketing and selling LMIA permits for tens of thousands of dollars to hopeful foreigners? Apply for any government grants and rebates you can along the way. When you're done, dissolve the company, register a new one, and wash, rinse and repeat?

It's worth noting that from the list of LMIA non-compliant employers, any punishment for fraud or abuse of the program can result in fines or temporary bans from the program - for the employer, not the individual. Not paying the fines has no criminal action - you are simply barred from using the LMIA program until the fine is paid. So it appears that an individual could, if barred from abuse of the program, simply dissolve the company, register a new one, and submit more permit applications. Seems like a very low risk endeavor.

This is just one small example, only looking at trucking “companies”, in Saskatoon. If you dig a little deeper, you’ll find all sorts of similar scenarios in various industries, just in little old Saskatoon. I question how such obvious details requiring such little investigation is being completely ignored by those in charge of oversight. Why is employment becoming increasingly difficult for so many, particularly young people and millennials, yet obvious schemes like this are going on without a problem?
