Please Help! they permanently deactivated my account

At almost 2am, I picked up two obnoxiously rude and very intoxicated girls from Chicago’s Chinatown and dropped them off 1/2 block away from their destination of RIU Hotel downtown. It was the final destination but they requested to be dropped off 1/2 a block away. They barely looked at me nor acknowledged me. Me, just saying “hello, How are you” seemed to have induced attitude and eye rolls. They were slurring their words and reeked of alcohol. They asked for late night places to go eat at, so I started listing off places and asking what they would like. I said “White Palace Diner and grill is a Chicago institution and was on Food Network.” That seemed to have earned eye rolls and more attitude for some reason. So I kept quiet the rest of the drive. I needed the money. I should have pulled over and kicked them out. I don’t have a dash cam bc I can’t afford one. Once I dropped them off, I gave them a low rating and put in the notes “obnoxiously rude and intoxicated”. They reported to Lyft that 1) I wasn’t the one driving. 2) I was intoxicated 3) I said racist derogatory things. Absolutely NONE of that is true. I would never do any of those things. All 3 of us are women of color but they didn’t even bother looking at me at 2am.

Unfortunately, in May ‘25 I had a MAGA racist & white supremest in my car. He reported me as racist when he was the one laying into me (a woman of color) that I made “bad decisions/ choices” in my life. I am always honest with everyone. I let him know that I’m in Social work (doing homeless outreach at the time) and I supplement my income with Lyft/ Uber. He felt like he had to give his racist opinions on it. I kept quiet and drove bc I needed the money. Bc I didn’t agree with him, He reported me as racist. Lyft temporarily put a hold on my account and gave me a warning. I didn’t do/ say anything derogatory!

They are permanently deactivated my account without any proof. Can someone please help me? I’m a laid off social worker and I’m really trying to find another job. I also don’t get paid enough as a social worker so I was supplementing with Uber/ Lyft driving. I will be homeless. I need this money and flexibility. Please please help me.

Enjoyable reading

I absolutely love reading manuals and warranty books or paperwork. I look forward to my purchases just so I can devour up those thick pages. Don’t you too?

The City of Chicago has some sort of understanding with both Lyft and Uber that if anyone has any outstanding tickets then the account gets deactivated. The apps gives notices and a specific deadline date to get on a payment plan or resolve the issue completely. I paid off and resolved all my issues 4 days before the deadline. My account had still been put on hold. I tried to contact Lyft support with zero answers nor resolutions. I emailed them my receipts and all they could tell me is that “we will contact you.” It’s been more than 24hrs. What else can I do? Please help, Thank You.

I’ve been getting a lot of matches of people that are scammers or grossly misrepresenting themselves. One example; I thought I was talking to someone who claimed to be born and raised in Chicago like me. Then we started to exchange voice notes and he had the thickest West African accent. I have no problems with African men. I do have a problem with the lying and scams. How do I figure out if someone is a scammer or not? What are some clues that made you realize that were going through a scam? What are some key guidelines that you use to avoid the scammers?
