Removed nose ring a year ago because despite having it for years, it would randomly get red and yellow pus would leak. Fast forward to a year later since i’ve removed it and the piercing site closed up, and that nostril is randomly red today. This has happened twice. There is no pain or itching whatsoever. And last time this happened, it disappeared in like a day.
Any ideas what’s causing it? Has anyone else experienced this?
My theories are, of course, there’s always the slight risk of some sort of infection but i’d be surprised since its been a year since i removed the piercing and let it close, and there’s almost no other symptoms besides it being red randomly. Could it be because the skin im that area is different now after having it pierced? Maybe its more susceptible to dryness/rawness/damage from sun exposure, face washing, irritation, etc?
Would love some professional insight on this so i can keep it clean properly. Thanks in advance.
Had an upper wisdom tooth removed yesterday. So far, hardly any pain, very mild swelling, not much symptoms at all, really. The only thing that’s kinda noticeable is the site is getting kind of itchy.
Is this normal and a good sign or is it something more nefarious?
Additionally, do you all recommend using the syringe they gave me to flush out the sockets or would you opt for just the salt water rinses (no swishing) instead?
