Just hit my first €2k MRR and I’m honestly a bit emotional about it

Was job hunting in a rough market and got tired of tailoring the same CV over and over, so I built a small tool to do it properly for each job and grade it before I send. It helped me land a role.
A few friends tried it, worked for them too, so I put it online. Somehow it's at €2k MRR now. Really happy.
Job market is brutal right now so it feels good to have built something that actually helps people.

I stopped connecting my Gmail to AI agents. Gave each agent its own email instead.

Was about to plug my Gmail into an AI agent so it could deal with some recurring email for me.

Then I actually thought about what I was doing: handing it read access to my entire inbox - every personal thread, every password reset, every "your statement is ready" - just so it could handle maybe three kinds of message.

So I flipped it. Gave the agent its own email address instead. Now I just forward it the stuff I want handled - invoices, scheduling back-and-forths, the boring ones. It only ever sees what I send. Nothing else.

The part I didn't expect: it replies as itself. A vendor got an email back signed by my agent - not "me" pretending to be me. And it remembered the thread, so when they replied a day later it already had the context.

Honestly feels way less insane than "here's my whole Google account, go nuts."

Anyone else running it this way, or am I overthinking the inbox-access thing?

Got my first paying customer today ($57 MRR)

Got my first $57 MRR and I'm irrationally happy about it.

If you had told me a few months ago I'd be celebrating $57/year, I would've laughed.

Always wanted to create something meaningful for agents, that would help any agent owner.

But after staring at analytics showing 0 users, fixing bugs nobody reported, and wondering whether I was wasting my evenings, this feels huge.

It's the first proof that somebody found enough value in what I built to pull out their credit card.

Still a very long way from replacing my salary, but today feels like a win.

Two people are paying $49/month for a widget I almost didn’t launch

I spent months building social proof widgets for websites.

Multiple times I convinced myself nobody needed another tool in this space.

Almost abandoned it. Yesterday customer #2 came in.

Current MRR: $98.

Tiny numbers, but it’s the first time I’ve felt validation from people who aren’t friends, family, or other founders.

Funny how much motivation two customers can create.

I keep seeing the same fake "someone in Texas just bought this" popup on every site. Found one taking the opposite approach and it's weirdly refreshing.

Then I landed on a site where the notification actually looked like it belonged - same typeface, same colors, same rounded corners as the page itself. It said someone had just signed up. It felt real, not bolted on.

Turns out the whole pitch is the opposite of the usual: only surface real activity (actual sales, signups, reviews) and style each notification to match the site it's sitting on. One line to install.

What got me is how obvious it is once you say it out loud - if the social proof is real and it looks native, it stops being an ad and starts being information. Anyway, made me rethink every popup I've been ignoring.

Most social proof popups look like they were designed in 2014. Why does nobody make one that matches the site it's on?

Every social proof notification looks the same: a clunky white box, stock green checkmark, font that has nothing to do with the site it's sitting on. The entire job of social proof is to build trust, and then the popup itself screams "third-party tool bolted on with duct tape." It actively makes the page look less legit.

Weird that a whole category got this wrong. The notification should inherit the brand - the colors, the rounding, the type - so it reads as part of the site, not an ad layered on top.

Question for this crowd: when a social proof popup shows up on a site you're browsing, does it ever genuinely nudge you, or have they all trained you to tune them out instantly? Trying to work out whether a clean, native-looking one changes anything or if the whole format is burned.

Vibe coded a marketing asset generator, tagged Marc Lou with the output, he liked it

Built debutkit - almost entirely through vibe coding - no design background, barely touched Figma.

The core loop was: describe what I wanted, let the AI generate it, iterate on the prompt until it looked like something I'd actually pay for. Repeat. The hardest part wasn't the code, it was learning to describe taste to a model that doesn't have any.

To test if the output was actually good, I generated a full marketing asset pack for one of Marc Lou's products and tagged him on X. He liked it. Gave him the pack for free.

That was the validation I needed.

A few things I learned vibe coding a visual tool:

- Prompt for the feeling first, then constrain the details

- Ship the ugly version and let real feedback reshape it

- AI is great at quantity, you still have to curate

Still building. Would love to hear how others are handling the design side through vibe coding.
