Second post this evening and following on from my previous one.

After the pretty disastrous firmware update, I decided to slightly redraw the boundary of my lawn so it would avoid colliding with its timber house. I sent the machine out again, to see if things would improve, out of curiosity.

One of my cats was sat on the boundary of the lawn as the machine was moving forward, cutting the perimeter. She likes to sit in a particular spot and always the mower recognises her and goes around. Not tonight it didn't. Both myself and my wife watched in disbelief and horror as it continued on towards her. The mower didn't deviate at all from its path. Thank goodness she had her tail by her side and not straight out as it would have taken it off. The right back wheel grazed her as it went past causing my cat to freak out. I hit the emergency stop button as quickly as I could and then sent it back to its charging station.

I know some will say the area should be pet free etc etc but these things are meant to be able to run at night or on properties with huge gardens where it is not practical to be around all of the time. These things are meant to be wildlife friendly. You are meant to have absolute trust in these things. My cat is not small and should have easily been picked up by the sensors but my mower acted like she wasn't there. This has really freaked both of us out as we have 5 cats who come and go from the garden. I have been using this thing for months and it has always always recognised my cats and either stopped dead or gone around them.

Of note, after updating to the latest firmware, I powered down the machine for a few minutes to clear the cache. I checked and double checked all the app parameters just in case something had changed. Sensitivity is set as standard which it always has been. I mow on the slowest speed possible. I don't have any obstacle free zones set up.

My wife doesn't want me using this machine again. She is understandably really upset as this could have been a disaster. It was me that convinced her that it was a good idea to buy this thing and that it was absolutely safe. For the time being, I intend to go back to using my push mower.

I intend to speak to Mammotion in the morning and will update the post.

Well after several months of my mower working perfectly, it has all gone wrong with the latest firmware update for my Yuka Mini 2 1000 LiDAR.

Twice I have had to hit the emergency stop button as it has ploughed in to its wooden house, wheels spinning as I watch It tear up the grass. It has never done this before.

I have also noticed it is much more aggressive backing up and three times it has gone in areas that are out of bounds.

I wish to God I never updated the firmware. I now join the unenviable group of Mammotion owners that are pissed off with their machines and this company.

Mammotion...sort it out.

Come on Mammotion, you said we would have a new app and new firmware in 5 days. First thing I did this morning was check my mower and no update. One day left to deliver on your promises.

The company tasked with fitting my A/C unit need me to find an electrician to fit the rotary isolator etc.

The outside compressor is rated at 12.7 amps and requires 1.5mm cable (from the official Bosch data sheet supplied by the A/C company). The isolator is to be located at 1st floor level.

There is a bedroom double socket on the other side of the wall to where it needs to be located. This forms part of the ring circuit and isn't on a spur. The upstairs ring is on a 32 amp breaker.

Is there anything in code or practicality stopping an electrician using the existing upstairs ring circuit for the isolator, via a 13 amp fused spur? One electrician who I called said I would need 6 or 10mm cable back to the board and on its own dedicated breaker.

The skit/sketch was...on the bridge of the "Titanic." The lookouts spot an iceberg...Iceberg, right ahead! Dramatic music from the movie starts playing. Lots of panic from people on board. Then the lookouts say something along the lines of "it's ok, we just missed it." Then everyone starts dancing to Bamboo - Bamboogie (do a little dance, make a little love...get down tonight...get down tonight).

Please, please, please help me remember what TV show was off and help me track it down so I can watch it again.

I got a quote for air conditioning to be installed. NE England. A Bosch system.

1x 3.5kw CL3200i indoor unit located in rear of lounge

1x 2.6kw CL3200i indoor unit located in master bedroom

1x 5.3kw CL5000Mi outdoor unit at high level.

All pipework and conduit etc. Remote control operation.

I need to arrange for my own electrician to fit the rotary isolator, ahead of time but that isn't that expensive apparently.

I know some would say that Bosch isn't as good as Mitsubishi or Daikin but we intend to move house in a few years time anyway.

I would be grateful for your thoughts.

Edit: Thank you everyone for all of your help and insight. I have said yes with an installation date 2nd week of September.

Seemingly every review I have watched on YouTube is one where they have been given the mower for free. Therefore it cannot possibly be a unbiased review.

What are people's opinions on the Yuka Mini 2 and also on Mammotion in general? Mammotion don't seem to get the best reviews when you look on Trustpilot.
