Soo I've been working on a power system ( not for a Novel) just fir fun and would love some insight on it pls

WHAT IS COMPREHSION??

Comprehension is a power system centered around understanding. Every person who awakens it becomes connected to a single concept—not by choice, but because that concept resonates with something fundamental about them.

A person cannot choose or change what they comprehend.

Unlike most power systems, Comprehension is not something people train to obtain. Most people will live and die without ever unlocking it.

AWAKENING

The only known way to awaken Comprehension is through an overwhelming psychological or traumatic experience.

At the very peak of that moment, the human mind briefly connects to one of the countless merged timelines. The person is completely unaware this happens, but when the moment passes, Comprehension has awakened.

No one knows why some people awaken while others don't, even after experiencing similar trauma.

Concepts

Every Comprehender possesses only one concept.

Examples include:

Fire

Dreams

Time

Memory

Identity

Gravity

There is no evidence that every concept has been discovered.

LAYERS

Comprehension consists of six layers.

Each new layer grants a deeper understanding of the concept, but also introduces a new drawback. Previous drawbacks never disappear; they continue to affect the user alongside the new one.

The higher someone climbs, the less human the experience becomes.

ADVANCEMENT

Advancing is one of the greatest mysteries.

Every person has unique advancement conditions.

There is no universal requirement.

A trigger could be something as extreme as being shot, or something as ordinary as hearing a child cry.

No one can intentionally force advancement because nobody knows what their trigger is.

There are signs before advancement occurs, but they are so subtle that most people never recognize them until it is already too late.

UNCERTAINTY

Nothing about Comprehension is completely reliable.

Ancient records contradict each other.

Survivors tell different stories.

People who experienced identical concepts developed completely different abilities and drawbacks.

Because of this, most historical information surrounding Comprehension is considered unreliable.

One person's experience should never be assumed to apply to another.

THE COST

Comprehension is not a gift.

Every increase in understanding comes with increasingly severe psychological consequences.

Many Comprehenders never survive long enough to reach the higher layers.

Power is earned.

Sanity is the price.

THE MERGE

The origin of Comprehension is tied to an event known only as The Merge.

Almost nothing is known about it.

It is said that infinite timelines became one.

Even more strangely...

The Merge has happened.

The Merge is happening.

The Merge will happen.

All three statements are simultaneously true.

No one fully understands what that means.

SOoo I have more Lore on it that I can post later concerning the layers , drawbacks and the merge but I would like some insight and what u think of it also the image isn't mine just saw it on Google

Agnes scaling and lore

Yo Bloodborn! Today we're scaling Agnes Ganelon, the energetic Apprentice Cartographer introduced in the Against the Dying Light event. She's not yet in the main story, but her event gives us some solid lore and kit info.

Appearance & Personality

Look: Young woman with long blue hair and golden eyes. Wears armor with a white cape.

Personality: Energetic, playful, and super curious. She prefers going on real adventures and investigating things herself rather than just reading about history in books.

Backstory (Event: Against the Dying Light)

Agnes is the granddaughter of the Chairman of the Cartographers’ Association. Fascinated by an old ballad, she decides to prove herself by conducting a temporal survey — traveling 600 years into the past.

She lands in a different era (300 years before the full Black Blood outbreak) and influences events tied to the ballad/prophecy involving Quinn Crowley.

Her goal: Uncover the truth behind the ballad and explore history on her own terms. The journal entries show her deeper thoughts — she questions whether cartographers should only map what’s visible, or if the hidden stories, legends, and nameless souls matter too. She wants to chart not just land, but the flow of history itself.

“Tell me, in places yet untouched by cartographers, could greater fascinations await?”

In-Game Kit & Abilities (Crescent Moon, Kingdom / Enlightener)

Rarity: SSR

Role: Warrior / Debuff

Weapon: Golden drafting ruler that transforms into a sword/lance. In Timeworn Mausoleum it has a cool wolf-head design.

Skills:

Basic ATK (Survey): Standard attacks.

Special (Meridian Tracing): Every 3 basic attacks — deals Physical DMG in a rectangle and grants a shield (30% Max HP for 12s).

Talent (Multi-Coordinate Analysis): +30% DMG when hitting 3+ enemies.

Ultimate (Temporal Construct): Creates a Projected Plane that pulls enemies in, applies Movement Speed Down + Physical DEF Down, then transforms her weapon into boomerang attacks for 12 seconds.

She’s built for AoE control, debuffing, and team survivability.

Lore & Cosmology Ties

Time Travel: Her ability to conduct a temporal survey and jump 600 years back directly supports the game’s branching timelines / cycles cosmology.

Ties into themes of fate, hidden history, and reality layers (similar to Timeworn Mausoleum’s temporal rifts, Albrecht’s duplicates, and Timeless Aiona’s time manipulation).

Her family bloodline has a “curse” mentioned in relic descriptions, hinting at deeper tragedy or power potential.

Power Tier Placement

Combat: Solid AoE Warrior/Debuffer. Great for mobbing and mid-game content with her multi-target damage and shielding.

Lore Scaling: High Tier Event Character. Time travel + cartography hax puts her in an interesting spot for timeline manipulation and exploration feats. Not top Bloodborn/Church immortal level yet, but her temporal abilities give her strong conceptual potential in the bigger cosmology.

Hax: Time travel + Temporal Construct (creating a Projected Plane that manipulates space and pulls enemies). This gives her solid time-space manipulation potential.

Overall Placement:

Mid-to-High Tier among event characters.

Below top timeless/reality-warping characters like Timeless Aiona (end of time traveler), Albrecht (duplicate universe creator), or Jacintha Dalcarlo (one of the strongest Bathory Elder).

Comparable to other strong time/cycle-involved units but not on the level of true immortals/Bloodborn Elders or Bell Ringers.

Continental / Multi-Continental combat potential with strong conceptual hax via her cartography + temporal abilities.

Questions for the sub:

How does Agnes scale against other time-related characters (Aiona, Albrecht)?

Thoughts on her event story and the old ballad?

Best team builds with her?

Drop your takes, corrections, more info from the event, or Future scaling
