How would the abortion discourse change if humans laid eggs instead?

Say humanity is the same but instead of a fetus turning into a baby over the course of 9-ish months, women simply laid an egg and had to take care of them over 9 months.

Would the abortion (hitting the egg with a sledgehammer) debate change drastically, or would it be the same?

ELI5: What was "GamerGate"?

Feel free to laugh at me but can someone PLEASE explain what gamergate is??

I have tried GOD KNOWS how many times to look up what happened but every single time it's just people saying "Imagine there's a table of people at an event, and that table doesn't exist, and they're angry at 3 other tables, but there's another table angry at 5 DIFFERENT tables, and the announcer of the event hates everyone, and no one is playing videogames".

If someone could explain what happened i'd be grateful.

1) Johnny Joestar | Part 7: Steelball Run

"You do not have the determination necessary. You do not have the eyes. But -that- man does. He has the eyes of a killer.

Johnny joestar is initially presented as a meek character with a soft personality that is going to go in the "standard" epic Jojo adventure for X specific goal. However on his travels he comes to find a certain "fire" within himself. The capability not to fight, but to kill. To do anything, anything for his goal.

2) Ichika Iori | Star: Strike it Rich

"It's worthless to think about physicality, skill or technique, in the face of her brutality, it's of no use."

Ichika Iori is a deadbeat cop that barely gets anything done, she used to be a fighter but retired due to poor eyesight. She is mostly a gag MC one point she gets roped into tournament so she has to fight with someone, initially being outclassed but then revealing her more viscious side and biting down as hard as she can into the Jugular of her opponent and forcing her hand through her ribs to stop her lungs from expanding, trying to kill her, and winning the fight.

3) Batman | Batman Comics/Movies

"Fear is a tool. When that light hits the sky, it's not just a call—it's a warning. To them."

Imagine being a simple, low-profile criminal in Gotham, in an alleyway after running away with a woman's puse, breathing heavily, but finally safe, until you see the "Batman" logo in the sky. "Wonder who he's getting called for, even if he IS real. I'll just leave before the cops show up".

You turn around, and you see this.

Hello friends!

I have been learning about china's history, evolution and economy, and I have noticed that a lot of chinese tourists tend to garner a bad reputation due to culture clashing! (Which I have definitely experienced)

However that seems to be changing (though it is still in it's infancy) due to the fact that younger chinese people are adopting a less "rural" and "widely acceptable" way of behaving in other countries.

What is YOUR opinion on this change (and if you think there IS any change at all) and how does worldwide chinese perception match your real life experiences with older and newer generations?

(This post is not for any academic purposes, I am simply seeking to learn more about the more human side of this larger change)

Venting/Advice post.

I stopped smoking cigarettes about 2+ weeks ago thanks to the help of my girlfriend (who is herself a former smoker) and I feel absolutely no difference and no changes whatsoever.

All that's changed is that I miss smoking and think about it regularly.

It's gotten to the point where I'm hoping something shitty happens in my life so I have an excuse to go back to smoking but i got a raise, my relationship is fine and my life is great aside from that.

So yeah, any, ANY fucking advice would be welcome. I miss that shit so bad.
