Laptop has strange issues won't take OS USB but works with only certain hard drives.

I have HP C126. The os stopped loading so I tried to load a new one via usb but the hard drive was dead.

Replace herd drive, tried doing os install via usb but the laptop boot loops when trying. Can go to BIOS and change boot order ect, still the same.

I turned off secure boot in bios.

I tested it with another hard drive that was from my old laptop and it works fine, boots into windows no problem. When I insert OS usb and turn on, the laptop boot loops (I already tried new usb and Rufus install etc)

When I put a blank hard drive in, it boots and says no OS. When I insert OS usb it makes the laptop boot loop and doesn't allow me to get to the install OS page.

So I used the blank HDD and inserted in another laptop and did the os install and setup, put this back on broken laptop and it says no OS, even though there is. Try usb OS again and same result boot looping.

It only seems to work with one hard drive which is an old 160gb Fujitsu that already has data on, I need to put at least 500gb on this one.

I have tried nearly 10 different hard drives. All the drives are tested and working fine.

In the bios I have tried disabling secure boot and enabling legacy boot.

I have also tried updating/install bios but I can't get to the "software diagnostics" page to enable the install as the options just aren't there.

I have also replaced the motherboard and I'm getting the exact same results on both boards. Any advice please??

Customer reported issue with no OS boot and faulty USB. Tried to do OS install and got this screen with artifacts. Replaced motherboard and get the exact same issue.

Replaced HDD, replaced RAM, display cable is fine etc.

Now if I put a HDD with windows already on, it works fine and the usb ports work fine.

If I put an empty HDD it boots and says no OS.

Now when I put os usb in and boot, it just boot loops turning on and off. So adding a os usb stops it from booting. I've disabled secure boot. I've used Rufus to install OS onto a hard drive, tried standard and windows on the go, both don't work and laptop doesn't boot.

I know I could install OS using another machine but I want to get to the bottom of wtf is going on here.

Any ideas??

Saturday 25th April hundreds (so far) of us will be meeting in Sheffield Fargate at 12:00 before heading to charter square roundabout at 13:00.

Once there, we will walk around the roundabout and then sit on the group to begin our protest.

This is one of the busiest roundabouts in Sheffield. This will cause maximum disruption.

Bring banners, music and smiles.

Update - FARMER CONFIRMED! We now have dozens of farmers and tractors confirmed. Once we hit the roundabout please make space for the tractors to pass.

What are we protesting - The governments greed when it comes to fuel duty.

The government takes nearly 60% of the pump price. While the rest of us struggle the greedy government is lapping up billions!

We want at a minimum, the VAT removing from fuel duty.

This exact protest has already been successful in Ireland and Spain.
