Marpe with Arms vs Without (pros/cons?)

what are the pros and cons?

I have one provider who uses arms to help the suture split and then removes the arms after three months. another provider skips the arms and just does a piezo cut.

what are the pros and cons to both approaches?

I would love more underwater stuff!

whether we get an Atlantis theme with mermaid wigs and an octopus micropet or something, or even just a new water themed travel location that’s a coastal town or even an icy area. What would you like to see? 🙂

any other bone borne Marpe in NY besides Newaz?

Dr Newaz’ Marpe is twice as much money as other orthos I’ve seen why? is it solely due to reputation or is there another reason?

Do any other orthos in the area do bone borne Marpe without the Arms on the Molars besides Newaz?

would love to hear unbiased experiences from people with MARPE with arms and MARPE without arms. and how bulky each feels within the mouth.

Fortress of Solitude

wanting to make a fortress of solitude inspired room. too bad all the ice palace stuff is out of season! I like it with the goth furniture too even though it’s off theme lol but of course it can be swapped for more supergirl stuff. :)

How Did Those Of You With UARS know you had it?

How did you trust MARPE/FME as viable treatments when mainstream sleep medicine rejects it?

How did you know mainstream sleep medicine is uneducated regarding UARS?

And how did you even know you had UARS to begin with?

Cpap help

My CPAP is only tolerable at low pressures (approx 5-11 pressure). Any higher, and my soft palate flutters too much, which actually wakes me up more from sleep. But the low pressure isn't enough to treat all my OSA. (I've tried both APAP and BiPap)

What should I do? My doctor rejected the idea of stiffening, saying that would only help with snoring and not OSA.
