TSA precheck not passing through?

Bought flights from STL to CUN and input my known traveler number. Everything goes through and my boarding pass shows the TSA precheck mark.

Go through precheck line, only to have the TSA agent tell me that I dont have precheck. Ignores my boarding pass and says the airline didnt send it through. I can either go through the normal line or go back upstairs to the ticket counter.

First time flying Frontier and first time this has happened. Anyone else?

Anyone here with experience talking to the Chinese recruiters on LinkedIn?

Seems the only recruiters I hear from these days are the ones based out of China. I assume it's because I have a Chinese last name. I'm of Chinese descent, but grew up in the U.S. and my spoken Mandarin is functional but not proficient in technical vocabulary. >10 years in biotech and currently in a mid-senior level role in a clinical stage biotech.

Question: are these opportunities legit- are they really trying to recruit US trained scientists back to China? Any luck convincing these companies to let you work remotely? It's probably a nonstarter to convince my family to immigrate to China..

Preventative PCV replacement (2020 XT 2.4L Turbo)

Dropped my Outback Onyx XT (2020) in for 60K service (CVT, Diff, Spark plugs) and asked about changing out PCV as well. Was told it's no longer recommended for newer engines. Does anyone know about this?

$1200 for 60K service-- about right?

Subaru dealer- STL area

CVT Fluid change, F+R differential fluid change, spark plugs.

$1200 after shop charges/taxes. Is this about right for the 60K service interval?

(I did break fluids when I had to change out my rear pads at 45K, and new battery when the OEM died at 55K; oils/air filters I just do at home)

A6400 + 70-350mm

Mostly shot at 350mm, F/8.0, 1/4000 sec, Auto-ISO, EV+0.7.

Some touchup and noise reduction on Lightroom.

I had been complaining about lens sharpness for a while and I followed the suggestions on this sub. Im now more than satisfied, especially with the sharpness on the F-22 weapons bay.

Welcome your thoughts

Head gasket failed at 64K miles on a 2021 Touring XT. WWYD?

https://preview.redd.it/314cajxr355h1.png?width=756&format=png&auto=webp&s=5a9074d4008279567bfcdbd39a9f90543cdcb6c7

This happened to a friend who brought his Outback Touring XT in for a 60K interval service (sparkplug/transmission fluid). There's been some engine oil buildup starting slightly below 60K miles but apparently it's a blown head gasket. 4k miles outside the warranty- anything he can do about it?

PARALLEL UNIVERSES?? (game breaking bug)

Friends and I were playing a 3v3 AI tonight (ancient gifts map)- I was host, and a parallel universe occurred.

I shit you not, the things happening in my game were not at all what the other 2 players were seeing. They kept saying certain planets were being attacked or massed on, and it looked clear as day to me. They told me I lost my titan- my Titan was smashing up an enemy home planet.

We had unsynced at some point. But here's the wild part- we could still pause the game and see the game pausing. We could still initiate diplomatic trade offers and the trade would go through.

My wife was playing on a computer across from me and when we looked at each other's screens, our game states obviously did not line up anymore.

WTF?

Game version: 1.60.6

Full multiplayer from the lobby.

Wen tracksaw can't crosscut 3/4" red oak??

I have a Wen tracksaw w/ a 40T Diablo blade. Everytime I try to make a crosscut on a 3/4" red oak glueup, the blade binds. Rip cuts bind up too unless I'm just trimming off <1/8" to even out an edge. Is this just a functional limit of the saw being weak or a blade issue?

Update on LG 36" center element issue (LG flat rate repair successfully story)

A few weeks ago I posted a thread about my LG induction cooktop (model CBIH3617BE). The center elements 5kw large ring wasnt activating regardless of my pan size, only the inner 3.7kw element was turning on. A few weeks after that, my flex zone started having F1 errors. I scheduled a repair through LGs flat rate repair program and had both issues addressed.

Long story short, it turned out to be the main controller board problem for both, not processing certain sensor readings properly. The tech more or less stripped every component out before replacing the .ain controller. From what I've seen online, many have complained about the center large 5kw element not activating, so maybe the new board have a patched firmware that fixes things?

LG flat rate repair cost $370, but was covered by my credit cards extended warranty service (Chase Freedom)

Seat upgrade prices bugging out

Does anyone know if this is a bug, and if so how it can be fixed?

Book for a flight in August, the seat map shows an upgraded Premium seat is $29/seat/leg.

But if I add it, it shows up in cart as $77/seat/leg. What gives?

How reliable are General brand Jointers?

Found a used 9" 1.5HP (220V) jointer on marketplace being listed for $350. Seller says the blade was replaced 2 years ago, and has another spare. Question is how reliable are these models? Looks fairly old but well cared for based on the pictures. Quite a drive out for me, but I'm a bit tempted... Would replace the silly Porter/Cable jointer I currently run, and I can run a 240V connection to my garage pretty easily.
