Water Lilly still not turning green?

This is technically my second year having this Lilly however I bought it 50% off last September so really it’s my first year with it coming out of dormancy and hopefully getting to see it in bloom.

What concerns me is that the newest pads are not turning green after reaching the surface. Pic 2 is the most recent pad, pic 3 is one of the older pads to reach the surface which has turned green but is in rough shape. Pic 4 is from last September a week or so after I bought it.

The weather is just now getting hot and staying hot does that have something to do with it? I upgraded it to a much bigger pot last year before winter because it was pretty root bound so I don’t think it’s a lack of root space but I’m open to suggestions.

Do my babies seem stunted?

They’re both around 4-4.5 in and I haven’t noticed any significant growth since I’ve gotten either of them. However they have both filled out since I got them, especially my comet. I’ve had my common for around 7~ months and he was a feeder tank rescue.

My comet I’ve had for around 3 months and he was $1.99 from the “fancy comet” tank so no offense to him I can’t imagine his perigee is too impressive either.

They’re both active, alert and eat well so I hope they’re healthy and I’m just impatient.

Poppy ID?

This poppy patch was originally planted by my great grandmother so I have no idea about the variety. I’ve been having issues finding an accurate ID so I was wondering if anyone recognizes them?

Sorry for the bad video but this was all I was able to catch on camera before they both hid under the ledge. Is this breeding behavior? I had just released my common back into the tank after checking on him (I thought he was looking a little fat lol) so could this just be them saying hi?

I figured they’d be too young to breed, by my best estimate my common is approx 10 months old but is a bit small I think and being a feeder tank rescue who knows if he’s stunted or not. My comet is around the same size and I got him a few months ago.

While he was on a hunger strike I put him in a smaller enclosure to better monitor bowel movements since his normal enclosure is bio active.

Took this as an opportunity to tear everything apart and install a screen top since I’m using a converted aquarium. Can’t say it looks too pretty but it’ll work for offering UVB and maybe a CHE when winter rolls around.

I can’t wait until summer so I can start breeding them. They contrast really well with my rosy minnows
