I struggle reading books and absolutely cannot understand anything if I don’t have audio with it or no one’s reading it to me.

I cannot retain information reading without audio, and even when I do, it’s still hard.

Is there anything I can do to keep track of information? I also never read, I hate reading. But sometimes you just have to! And I have a book to read! (This goes with nearly any book, unless it’s a simple children’s book, I cannot understand anything.)

My budget is about $700-800 max. Reasoning: I already have a pretty good gaming pc, it’s definitely not an absolute beast, but it’s very fast with loading, mid-upper range, runs all my games smoothly on high-ultra no problem with any game I play. On some games I can even max out fps on the highest settings.

Only problem is I’m having issues with it and it’s been “broken” for over a month now, still getting it fixed.

Since then, I’ve resorted to using my old gaming pc back from dec 2021, not even 5 years old yet and it’s absolutely trash. It’s such a downgrade it gives me flashbacks to how I used to complain using it every single time. It’s just junk. I can’t even bother to play my favorite games anymore and just resort to Roblox, but better yet, can barely even play that with how slow this thing loads. This thing probably isn’t worth more than $500, but I’d rather have a new cheap pc than use this garbage.

Any recommendations for my budget? I really just need it as a backup, not my main. So definitely nothing fancy…

It’s night time, I’m in bed. I don’t want to get up. My phone is dying and very low.

I turned on my flashlight on my phone for light, knowing it’ll drain my battery. I’m in a loft bed. My phone charger and headset charger (works on iPhone) is on gaming desk right below me.

Ive figured out very early on I can reach over my loft bed, grab my lamp, pull it up by its top, grab my charger and start bringing it up to me if it’s not already on my bed.

Well, when I was gaming earlier, my gaming chair rolled on top of my long iPhone charger, so when I attempt to pull up my lamp and get my charger it didn’t work. So I went for my headset charger, I almost got it but then my lamp falls in between my desk and old pc on the floor so it’s wedged between the two, not quite on the floor.

However I cannot reach it. Headset charger unplugs. But.. my long iPhone charger is still connected. I scope my surroundings. I spot my old ps4 headset on my dresser right next to my gaming desk. I also spot a “multi purpose cleaner spray” sitting in the arm rest of my gaming chair. aha.

The spray bottle acts as a hook. So, I reach with all my might and successfully grab the headset. Then, I easily grab the spray bottle reaching over the edge of my loft bed. So, I take the cord of my headset and wrap it around the nozzle. I tilt the bottle upside down to see if it’ll stay upright and it slants.

I need it to fully go upside down to help me out. So I take more cord and wrap it around the bottom of the bottle. The bottle isn’t perfectly upside down but very good. I start to lower the bottle and hook the nozzle under my charging cord but then my lamp falls all the way to the floor. Charger is still connected to the lamp.

So I keep pulling up but realized my charger was stuck under the wheel of my gaming chair. I kept trying to hook under the other end of the charger but all sections were flat against the floor so it was no use. I noticed my iPhone battery is decreasing to 6 percent and panic. I turned on low power mode to save me some time I take my little desk mirror on my desk and see if I can push at the armrest of the gaming chair to move it. Chair is too heavy. Don’t want my mirror to break.

So then I tried hooking the bottle nozzle under the power cord to the lamp and try to pull it back up. Didn’t work because the cord wasn’t long enough. I let it fall back to the floor.

I scope my surroundings once more. Good day to be lazy for laundry and still have a few clothes on my bed. Some pants.

I look at the armrest. I can make a hook with the pants to pull up my chair and off of my charging cord.

Firstly, I hook the nozzle under the section of the charging cord because if I move the charger it’s possible the charging cord might go flat on the floor and I’m done for. So I hooked it and brought it up as high as it can go. Then, I tie a knot in my pants and failed a few times to hook it but finally did, I tried pulling but it was heavy. I saw an opportunity with the cord that it didn’t fully flatten on the ground so I slowly let it go.

I used both hands to pull up my gaming chair with all my might and it moved! Now. We’re down to the final straw.

I took the nozzle once more and lowered down the bottle with my headset cord, I kept trying to twist the bottle with the cord but the bottle kept moving in every direction but where I needed it to to hook it under the cord. It was making me frustrated but I finally got it. I pulled the charging cord up and it was now unstuck thanks to my creative thinking after many unsuccessful attempts from before. The charging cord finally reach me. I plug it into my phone and… it charged! This took me a good half an hour.

I spent 30 minutes engineering tools with my environment than spending 5 seconds taking a couple steps to get my charger and get back into bed.

Laziness at its finest. Gives me desperate creativity.

I feel like it’s mixed for me, my memory is a bit faded on builders club but I did remember always wanting it. Now, I couldn’t care less for the current plus subscription. Not sure if that was due to growing up from being a kid to making different financial choices or just something was better about it.

What did you like or think could’ve been better with builders club if you remember?
