Just got our first family boat. 2000 18.5 Sea Ray with 4.3L

After a few years of talking about it, we finally found the right boat for our family of 4, soon to be 5.
We live in Northern Michigan and wanted something we could transport from lake to lake and store in our garage.

We paid $6k and were told boat has between 275-300 hours. Very excited and can’t wait to have all summer with it next year.

My family had a 23ft Sea Ray Signature while I was growing up, so I was pretty particular in what we were looking for. Worth the wait imo, hoping it remains to be true.

4.5 Months Post Pilon Fracture ORIF.

Hi all,
I’ve got another update for those have been following since my 3/6/26 injury: https://www.reddit.com/r/brokenankles/s/LTKhrB590d

I was able to get up on wakesurf on my first try yesterday for about 45 seconds before my ankle had enough. I gave it about a 5 minute break, and was unable to get up again after two attempts. The pain and lack of stability I was feeling just would not physically allow it. I basically couldn’t walk the remainder of the day, but the pain I was/am experiencing is coming from the metatarsal area of top of, around the outside, and across the bottom of my foot. It legitimately feels like my foot is broken.
I told my PT this morning and they said this should not be happening and to follow up with my surgeon if it persists come mid week.

With that being said, I’m still in PT 3 days a week. Walking about 8-10k steps per day, and trying to get back to normalcy. I’ve also been dealing with an ingrown toenail for about 3 weeks after wearing exclusively compression socks.

Help! 2023 Honda Pilot Trailer Main Fuse (slot 7). Info in comments

Hi all,
I am beating my head against the wall trying to find the 30A fuse for slot 7, trailer main fuse. I ordered a Curt trailer wiring kit which did not include the trailer main fuse.

The fuse itself is significantly smaller than a Low Profile JCase fuse (which I’ve been sent 3 of now). It is the same size fuse as the blower fuse in slot 6.

Unfortunately my nearest Honda dealer is about an hour away, and not accessible with my work schedule. If anyone has any links or can point me in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated.

Backpack leaf blower for rural Northern Michigan

Hi all,
My Craftsman top end seized at the end of last fall and I’m looking to replace it with another backpack blower. It died after about 65 hours total. Not worth rebuilding imo. I do a combination of mulching and blowing.

As you can probably tell from the photo, I am surrounded by many trees lol. This is what a normal October day looks like, but other regular use will include blowing around the house after mowing throughout the summer.

I’m thinking Stihl, but just want to make sure their quality is still top notch.

Update: 10.5 weeks post op - Pilon Fracture

Hi all,

Just wanted to give an update from this injury sustained on 3/6:

https://www.reddit.com/r/brokenankles/s/rPe9YaVrqO

I am now about 10.5 weeks post op and FWB. I’ve had 3 PT appts in the last week, and picking up cadence to 3x/week starting next week.
Lots of small victories, but I’m able to hit 4-5k unassisted steps per day.

Hoping to be back to 100 by August.

Was doing a home inspection on a home we had an offer accepted on and saw this tucked into one of the basement walls. What is it and can we get rid of it without being cursed forever?
