Assistant Grocery manager interview

So I have an interview for an assistant manager position at my store, I’ve been with the company for 2 months, I know you’re supposed to have been there for 6 months before you can move up but ghe GM said exceptions can be made for the right fit. So far I was told no one in the store applied for this position, but we have 2 outside people who applied. I’m not new to managing, I was a kitchen lead at my last game for 5 years who basically managed since the kitchen manager never really did his job. So I have an idea of managing but this is still very new to be. Before moving to a retail job, I’ve only ever worked kitchen jobs. Since moving to retail tho, I’ve learned how to do a lot of things. I’m just a dairy clerk so small department. I within weeks I’ve learned to do truck orders (I actually do the truck orders for dairy now). A lot of basic stuff like demo and transfers, marking down things for manager specials, ordering the thinstore periscope with zebras, among a few other things. I know grocery is the biggest department in the store so basically everything I’m doing now 10x. I’ve worked a few grocery shifts so I have an idea how it goes. The current grocery manager thinks I’ll be a good fit and already wants me to be his right hand man. But it’s up to the GM. I want to make a great impression on this interview so I was wondering if anyone had any tips or suggestions on how I can ace this interview !

What should we do?

So my and my partner have been sharing a car since we both work from home. We’ve been using her car for the past 2 years (my car was flooded during Milton). She’s been making payments and it’s nearly paid off, she owes about 2k.

A few weeks ago it just died on the way to drop our daughter off at school, and we’ve put about $600 into trying to get it fix and it’s still not running. Apparently it’s going to need a new transmission (quoted $3k), a new bumper (teenager driving practice). It’s a 2019 but the family used it a lot so it’s a little beat up. It has about 180k miles kia.

After dropping $600 to try and fix the issue, we went and got a car in my name. We didn’t trade it in because they said that it was a process since it doesn’t run and she still owes on the car and it’s in her name.

We were carless so I didn’t push the matter, we needed a car for errands and taking our daughter to school. So now we have a car that doesn’t run just sitting in the middle of our driveway ( it started for 30 seconds and we moved it there to work on it) we’re getting letters from the HOA saying we can’t park like, my partner is stressing because she has a car payment coming up and she doesn’t want to pay for a car that doesn’t run. She only owes $2k and got an off to scrap it for $1500. But the guy said if it runs, we can get more so really just looking for advice on what the best outcome of this situation. Thanks in advance

Repair cost?

Hit by a drunk driver leaving the parking lot. He got arrested and charged with a DUI and hit and run. The police are going to send his insurance. The car drives okay, has a rattlering sounds when driving long distances. Rough estimate for a repair?

Hit and run

So I was out to eat with my family at a restaurant, a couple comes in asking who has a silver Kia and that it was involved in a hit and run. The couple was a retired police officer and he tried to flag the guy down, but the guy ignored them and hit a curb. The retired cop got the license and they tracked him down and arrested him for a hit and run and a DUI. My question is actually, what are the following steps for me? I tried to file a claim through my insurance and they said I can still file a claim but it’ll save me time and money to file with the person who hit my car insurance. I don’t have that information, how can I get it and what can I expect out of this whole process?

Never been involved in an accident, especially a hit and run. So just looking for some advice on how to proceed. Thank you in advance!
