How do i get over the fact that my friends and family will be rude to the guy i am interested in

This guy that i am super super interested in is… not conventionally attractive. But he is the smartest kindest guy i have ever met and he means so much to me. My friends will definitely make rude comments about it and i wish i wouldn’t be affected by it but i know i will be. How do i ignore this???! Please help

Edit 1 i just want to clarify that i find him very very attractive

Texted me this after i sent him photos of me at hoco..
he has never complemented me like this before but he has been texting me more often. Maybe im going crazy lmao.

EDIT 1 : Thank you guys for all your help!! I really do think he was flirting as today he asked if i could go hang out with him at his collage (duel enrollment he is still in highschool guys im not getting groomed i promise) i think we might hang out later this week! Ill maybe keep yall updated if anyone cares!
