RAs transitioning to fully remote

At my agency, there’s been some vague talk about transitioning everyone who has a reasonable accommodation to telework 50% of the time or more to a fully remote position. You would no longer have a workspace at HQ, you can charge travel when you go to the office, and If you live outside the HQ locality, your pay would be adjusted.

I heard today that a group of folks have been notified. They weren’t given a choice, they were just told to sign the new agreement. Within that new agreement, they have to PAY BACK the locality difference to the date their RA started. So if you live in a lower locality area and you’ve had an RA for a couple years, you’d have to pay that money back.

Has anyone else heard anything like this going on? I’m curious if it’s just my agency.

Edit: I realize this sounds wild, that’s why I posted it. It’s not just office rumors, this info is posted on my agency’s internal website. It’s still unclear if all RAs will be converted, they’re doing it in “phases”. No one has any answers.

My pcp just told me that HTR can only be taken for 5 years due to the risks. Isn’t this based on older guidelines and research? I read that the initial research used a higher dose of hormones which increased the risks significantly. Now treatment has changed and the benefits of HRT outweigh the risks and there’s no time limit.

My pcp told me she’d prefer to wait on HRT until that 5-year max window can overlap with menopause.

Also, she said 42 is a little young for perimenopause and although I have a laundry list of symptoms, she said I don’t technically qualify for treatment yet because my period time-frame is still somewhat regular. She said my period needs to be at least a few weeks early or a few weeks late.

Does her assessment seem reasonable? If not, what’s the best way to advocate for myself without coming off like a condescending weirdo that thinks she knows more than the doctor.
