ive been using Fedora KDE 44 and i plan on daily driving it for my upcoming college semester. im a comp sci student so mainly the heaviest work will be coding projects and maybe some VMs. is 64gb (along with the 3050 ti) overkill? i just dont want this to become an issue with it making the battery life suck, so if this is too overkill i can just sell this and get a less powerful laptop with like 32gb ram and no discrete gpu.

i was running updates and was prompted to restart my laptop. this happened upon reboot.

i got a new motherboard today so i was replacing it, and when i went to test if i had plugged everything in etc, something shorted and i heard a click and my pc lost power. i pressed the power button a couple times and nothing happened. then i unplugged what i suspected was the problem (an rgb controller board) and pressed the power button, then i saw a spark in my power supply and saw smoke so i immediately unplugged it and took it out of my computer. luckily it didnt burst into flames or harm any other components. also, i fortunately have an extra power supply so i was able to replace it and everything in my pc still works (thankfully).
what do i do with the dead power supply? i dont want to leave it in the trash since its a fire hazard now
is this covered under warranty or anything?
I bought this cisco catalyst 2960XR off of eBay used. i successfully factory reset it and made it to the express setup where i set its ip address and gateway etc i hit submit, and now when i try to connect it to my network, the port flashes amber for a couple seconds and then turns off, and shows up as "error disabled" in the management interface. this also happens on any other port i try to connect it to.
theres no ip address conflicts, and the port works if i plug another device into it (turns green, just doesnt have internet connection obviously)
what can i do? i attached a picture of my express setup config

i have a router in my room (2nd floor) and i want to be able to get ethernet connections for devices that dont support wifi (in my basement). my house doesnt have ethernet wiring. is there any way to get the wireless signal from my router and turn it into a wired connection for the devices in my basement? also,the wifi connection in the basement is fine, so signal strength isnt an issue.

It hasnt been a problem until today, but i noticed that when i would connect to my tailscale i would get 5-10 mbps MAX when using an exit node. if i dont use the exit node i have normal good internet speeds.
I ran tailscale netcheck and status and i saw im using relay servers for some reason which would explain why its so slow. how can i make my exit nodes get a direct connection instead?
i have a CGNAT gateway with a router behind it. i read that CGNAT can cause problems but its weird since it hasnt been a problem until today. what can i do?

I saw the Oxygen theme is back on the 6.7 release post, and i was wondering how to download it? i cant find it in the theme settings and i dont know how to change it through the CLI (im new to fedora KDE). im on fedora 44, with KDE 6.7.
im trying to start a minecraft server using docker compose and the itzg docker image, but my server isnt responding to any inbound network traffic. ping doesnt work from another machine to my server, but from the server, i can ping any machine on my network. dont know if its an OS issue or a proxmox issue. how can i troubleshoot and fix this?
UPDATE: i ended up just reinstalling ubuntu server on the VM since i couldnt figure out why it wasnt working, and now it works perfectly fine so i have no idea what was happening before lol
