ive always liked the design of these older 2010s cases, and ive also always liked the massive e-atx cases, so i knew i had to buy this when i saw it for $50 on facebook marketplace. i transferred my current system into it and it looks sick. i cant get over how massive it is, pic next to my 34 inch monitor for scale
T400, T490, and T15g gen 1 (yes it has windows, i know, its so i can play my games that require anticheat 😔)
i got it on goodwill's online auction site for $43 after shipping.
so far ive swapped the hard drive for a 512gb ssd and i plan on upgrading and repasting the cpu to a T9600. it came with a third party battery with 89% health.
specs: intel core 2 duo P8400, 8gb ddr3 1066, 512gb SSD.
she was sick of the constant annoying and buggy windows 11 updates, random BitLocker locks, and terrible battery life and thermal management. so far she likes how customizable linux mint is and hopefully it will be fine for her schoolwork as she figures out how to use it.

im using fedora kde on it, and i already bought a sata ssd for the first upgrade, it should be delivered tomorrow. what all can i upgrade? i plan on upgrading the cpu to a T9600 or something but can i upgrade the screen maybe? or even upgrade the cpu to a 4 core cpu if i change the bios to libreboot? is it also possible to upgrade the wifi card as well?

im on a thinkpad T400, i have an internet connection, it has a 500gb 2.5 inch ssd with windows on it but i set it to use the whole disk and wipe it before installing. i keep getting this error. what should i do?

im a college student pursuing a bachelor's in IT. I took a networking class last semester and i have some hands on experience with my homelab. Would it be doable to get my CCNA at the end of the summer if i follow a youtube course and study along with having a part time job?
