how hard is it to compete with vibe coders for junior devs?

A question for beginner developers: how hard is it to compete with vibe coders?

I'm actually still at a pre-intern level, and I've been trying to avoid using AI because I barely know anything yet – I've only written one medium-sized project so far. Ideally, at work, I'd like to stick to manual coding in areas where I'm not yet confident and haven't honed enough to automate. But given the current demands from employers, I get the feeling I'll have to vibe code 24/7 and only have a vague clue about what the generated code is actually doing.

What are your observations on this? Is there still room to learn on the job, or is all work just mindless button-mashing on "generate" and that's it?

Samurai Champloo is about letting go

This is probably obvious, but I realised this not so long ago.

The way the episodes simply unfold—unconnected to one another and defying any standard narrative arc. Characters come and go without leaving a lasting impact on subsequent episodes. Many installments illustrate this beautifully—take, for instance, the episode featuring Jin and the woman he loved, or the encounter with the samurai who smelled of sunflowers; even the ending is steeped in a quiet melancholy. That is not to mention the muted, pastel color palette, which makes no attempt to be flashy or demand attention. And then there are the tracks by Nujabes—one could talk about him endlessly.

(English is not my first language, used translator. Hope you understood what I wanted to say)

how can I make this mod work in 1.21.1?

I was using SilentGear in my modpack, but it feels little bit out of place. Have someone done a fork for 1.21.1? or maybe there are separate mod that does the same but in newer versions?

Finally overcame the fear of talking to a girl

Hi everyone. I wouldn't say I'm deathly afraid of talking to girls. I have a lot of female friends, and I talk to them often. But when the goal of the conversation is to meet new person and build a relationship, I simply freeze. I'm quite an anxious person. And recently, at the library, which I frequented, I noticed a girl who worked there. I didn't fall in love; I didn't really like her. She just somehow stood out from the crowd. At some point, I began obsessing over proving to myself that I was capable of meeting new people, which created anxiety, which I mistakenly took for falling in love. As a result, I stressed myself out so much that I began to think I was falling in love. And then I decided I had to talk to her. So, with shaking hands and in a fight-or-flight state, I began a conversation for the first time with the goal of meeting a potential partner. Although I didn't ask for her number directly, the fact that I had overcome such a strong fear was very encouraging. In the end, I realized that I didn't really like this girl and all of this was really just excitement and anxiety. But that was very important moment for me.

Sorry for my bad english

Im tired

Over the past year, I've had to go through quite a few unpleasant things. Things like unrequited feelings for a girl with whom I finally felt safe, poor grades at university, severe OCD, and my parents kicking me out of the house (which is probably a good thing, since I grew up in an abusive family and have been wanting to run away since middle school).

But in any case, I overcame all these difficulties and feel much stronger and happier.

Next week, I have an exam, which I've been studying for from 8 to 8, and it's exhausting. Even though I like the subject, I study much more than I actually need to for the exam. But for some reason, I feel a sense of melancholy inside. I think it's because of loneliness. Although I wouldn't say I have no one to talk to; my social circle is pretty normal, in my opinion. But still, there's a sense of emptiness and dullness inside... I'm sure it's because I'm not giving myself time to rest because I have so much material to study and to pass the exam perfectly (since I have a very low score for the semester). It would seem like I should give myself a day to go for some little adventures I like to do, but the exam is coming up soon, and I've already given myself a day to rest. Maybe I just need to grit my teeth and keep going, no matter what. I don't know.

Life has been quite unpleasant, but it is finally fine now

Im 19 and past two years were especially tough for me.

Its not like my childhood was great, even though I lived in wealthy family. Its weird because I dont like my parents and think they are didnt do their job well and at the same time they spent money on me.

My father always was strict to me, kicked me out from home when i was 6 to teach me a lesson (it was something with me crying too much and saying I will find better family or something), he always yelled at my mother, at me and blamed us for everything. And my mother kept telling me that all dads are like that and this is normal and I dont need to be angry at him. He also drank a lot and spent hours explaining to me that im useless piece of shit and will not achive anything. All because I liked to play with friends and not starting my own business and applying for a job.

I didnt felt safe at home. Always wanted to stay at school for a bit longer even though I was bullied there.

When I entered college I felt deeply in love with one girl with whom I felt safe, with whom I can finally show my soft and sensitive side I have always concealed and suppressed as it was my weakness. But unfortunately she already had a boyfriend and we stayed as friends and maintained distance (after i told her about my feelings)

At that time I was thinking of doing something bad to myself over the course of months, life become completely grey, I cried almost every day and couple of times was really close to do one last thing and finally get rid of all of this. But something stopped me, I still dont know what was it.

And after couple of months I got severe OCD. It was a hell wich lasted 5 months before medication worked. I had panick attacks almost every hour at some point, always had extreme anxiety to the point I couldn't get up from bed. Lost 10% of bodyweight by first two months, stopped attending classes and just waited for this to end.

And from the point when meds started to work, my life completely changed. My parents kicked my out during this time and dorm became my new home.

I felt that I ain't weak or useless. I understood my strength and potential. And from now on I enjoy life and building my future.

Recently I caught up with and in some ways overtook my classmates in my studies, I improved my health, understood who I am and what I want, and realized my values and aspirations.

Recently all the students were kicked out of the dorm and I had to ask my relatives for shelter. Also, studying still puts pressure on me and despite my successes, I am still behind in one or two subjects, but gap is closing fast.

Now my future finally started feel bright to me. and more importantly, I understood that even if wind is strong, I am stronger.

I'm a perfectionist using AI tools and it seems to be killing me.

Hello everyone. The problem is basically described in the title.

I use AI very often in my life to understand what and how to do correctly. For example, what nutritional mistakes I make, what I can improve in my life, etc.Even more often, I analyze my problems, for example, why something doesn’t work out for me or whether I’m doing everything right and effectively ( mostly in the field of studying). I used to think that it was good that I was developing and simply had faster access to information than Google. But now I notice that I'm just trying to optimize my life, which doesn't quite align with my values.

Has anyone had this type of problem?
