Mushrooms for adding to ornamental garden mulch?

Anyone have any input on the idea of purposefully adding mushroom cultures to mulch beds of ornamental gardens?

Is that something I should even worry about because it will just happen naturally?

Would some mushrooms be better than others?

I am in zone 6a in Illinois.

The top of the hood is 6ft high

I'm six foot tall, stood in front of this thing, and it was just as tall as me. It's an child crushing machine.

Why do parents get sooooo upset when their kids have restrictive eating habits?

Parents seem to get a major rage boner when kids won't eat food they make and those parents know the kid doesn't like them. I don't understand this. Some parents seem to want (or actually try to) to starve their children into submission before they will even think to try and accommodate their child's food preferences. It seems like they think their kid is just being a raging asshole and not even trying to consider the state of mind of the child when it comes to them eating food, or that taking their child's preferences into consideration will be akin to allowing their kid to be walking all over them for the rest of their life.

I don't understand it. Like, pull your head out of your ass and think of alternatives to navigate the situation so everyone can be happier because what you're doing right now just sounds like hell for all involved. Sorry it's very triggering for me. I just don't understand.

Why do parents get sooo upset about not eating food they know you don't like?

Note: This is not my situation, I'm just wondering in general

I can understand being a little upset that they won't try foods that are new and no one knows if the kid will like it or not. But some parents seem to want to starve their children into submission before they will even think to try and accommodate their child's food preferences.

I don't understand it. Like, pull your head out of your ass and think of alternatives to navigate the situation so everyone can be happier because what you're doing right now just sounds like hell for all involved.

Edit to add: I understand working to broaden the child's diet and agree its important, but the reactions I'm reading from parents is boarder line or actual abuse over situations that can be avoided with a little imagination and creativity.

Weightloss and lithium levels

I take lithium for bipolar disorder. I am currently in the process of losing weight (down 15 pounds so far, huzzah). My last blood level test about a month ago was good. I have about 60 more pounds to lose before I get around my goal weight of 170lbs (currently 230).

I am assuming that as I lose weight the concentration of lithium in my body will go up. Is this assumption accurate? If so, about how much weight loss before I should get tested to make sure I am not entering dangerous levels?

The rich are obsessed with AI and robots because of the 'end times'

It is well known that rich people are building doomsday bunkers, well it's well rumored at least. The question has always been how will they manage to keep themselves safe. Security forces could easily just shoot them and take the bunker for themselves. Also, how will they replenish supplies when everyone is dead or living in survival mode?

Enter AI and robots. They can literally just program robot security and robot work forces to do whatever they want and don't need to bother with meat sacks. It has the added benefit of also replacing workers now.

How does one keep their mouth shut?

I've been spending time with my sister-in-law's family and the adults are just not good people, especially the husband and his family. They all vote Republican and were circle jerking over homeless people and lamenting their tax money going to drug addicts. At this point i felt compelled to chime in even though I knew it was a bad idea. The words were out of my mouth before I could even think about it.

How do you not do that? How do you just sit there and ignore such vitriol? The obvious solutions weren't available, like "leave the situation". I was stuck there.

Gen Z thinks periods . in text are abrasive because they read it out loud.

When a Gen z person reads the sentence in a text "This is a sentence.", they read it like "this is a sentence, period" and then conflate that with when someone is trying to be very emphatic in vocal speech saying something like "Racism is evil, period."

Thus, they interpret sentences ending in a literal . with someone actually saying the word period, thus being abrasive or whatever.

Am software engineer. Who the hell runs their IT and why is everything running on the internet? All they should have had to do is disconnect every modem in the building from the internet and have everything running on purely local network and servers in the building.
